February 03, 2009 04:02:44As a promotional project to support her single "Gravity", Sara Bareilles comes out releasing a music video for the track. She is shot delivering the ballad song in the middle of the street while people are walking behind her bringing globe miniature and replicas of other planets.
"Gravity" is a self-penned song appearing in Sara Bareilles' 2007 debut major-label effort "Little Voice". The track has been confirmed to be released as the album's third single in the U.S. and will be dropped sometime soon.
Alicia Keys' Record Tops Billboard's Year-End Charts
December 26, 2008 01:12:57With new year's eve coming closer, Billboard issues its Year-End Charts and from the list, it is revealed Alicia Keys' "As I Am" lands atop on Top 10 Albums. Josh Groban's "Noel" and Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" follow on the chart at number two and three respectively.
Beside securing number one on Top 10 Albums, Alicia also puts her song "No One" on the top spot of Top 10 Most-Listened-To Radio Songs. Beating down such hit singles, as Flo Rida's "Low", Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" and Timbaland's "Apologize" featuring OneRepublic, the single has, according to Nielsen SoundScan, drawn 3.08 billion radio listeners between November 12, 2007 through November 16, 2008.
Maroon 5 and Counting Crows Make Up Touring Team

"Love Song" crooner Sara Bareilles will open the dates up till August 26 and hand out the baton to fellow Epic Records artist Augustana for the rest of the dates that stretch up to October 4 in West Palm Beach, Fla.. Sara Bareilles, Honoree of ASCAP's Vanguard Awards

She is also set to perform at the ceremony dubbed the 25th Annual Pop Music Awards on April 9 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
The particular award is given to artists whose music help shape the future of American music. Previous recipients include Arcade Fire, Jack Johnson, The All-American Rejects, Modest Mouse and Beck. The ASCAP Pop Music Awards meanwhile, is part of the association's "I Create Music" week, an entire week of events being held in L.A. to celebrate the voice of the music creator.
Portia de Rossi Paid Tribute to Murdered Homosexual in New PSA TV Ad
March 13, 2008 03:03:34Showing her tribute to murdered homosexual Lawrence King, Portia de Rossi is following in the footstep of her same-sex partner Ellen DeGeneres who's been outspoken to stop hate towards gays by signing to star in a new public service announcement TV ad. The PSA came just days after Ellen tearfully honored the gay teen, claimed she was deeply affected by the murder of King during an emotional outburst on her TV show last month.
King, 15, was shot in the head at his Oxnard, California, junior high school back on February 12 reportedly for being a homosexual. Fellow classmate Brandon McInerney, 14, has been charged with the killing. Days before he was murdered, King had apparently asked McInerney to be his valentine.
