Having a successful career in the music industry and have been married for 34 years appear to be not enough for Carlos Santana and his wife to maintain their husband-and-wife union. The couple is heading for divorce, it has been reported.
Deborah Santana has on October 19th filed for divorce in Marin County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. No more details being made public, with Carlos' publicist, Michael Jensen, said the case is "a private matter and there is no comment."

Santana has just premiered his first music video off 'Ultimate Santana'. 'Into the Night', a song penned and featuring Chad Kroeger from Nickelback has roamed file sharing websites.
'Into the Night' is the song that Santana described "kind of chant in a coliseum when your team is ahead, like 'We Will Rock You.' I am very grateful that Chad has shared it with me."

Santana is gearing the work of "Ultimate Santana" that will span three tracks featuring collaborations from Shakira, Lil Wayne, Tina Turner and Nickelback's frontman Chad Kroeger. One of the tracks will be the re-make of Michelle Branch-featuring smash hit "Game of Love".
Sitting on Branch's chair this time is Turner whose voice Santana described as hair-rising. "We got a Grammy with Michelle, and Michelle brought her own spirit and her own innocence and purity," Santana said in an interview with Billboard. "However, when you hear these notes that Tina hits, every hair on your body stands up."

A number of stars such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Carlos Santana will appear for a charity show in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. They will raise money to aid the building of the late politician's memorials.
Other performers also playing their part in the event dubbed Dream Concert are Robin Thicke, Bebe and Cece Winans and Jessye Norman. For the host slot, "Today" show weatherman Al Roker will be joined by Ben Affleck, Shaquille O'Neal and LaDainian Tomlinson. The masterminds behind this event are actually Quincy Jones, Russell Simmons and Tommy Hilfiger.

On the verge of releasing his most artists-packed album "Exclusive", Chris Brown may soon be singing side by side with Michael Jackson for one of the tracks. The R&B crooner got the phone call from the "Thriller" singer who didn't hesitate to do collaboration with him.
"He called me for my birthday, and I told him we should do a song," Brown said. "He was up for it. Man, it was crazy. He actually spoke to me like a regular person, and he was like, 'I like your music.' He said his favorite song was 'Shorty Like Mine' that me and Bow Wow did. I appreciated talking to him."

Gloria Estefan is taking pride out of her Cuban ancestry by pouring the culture's sound, spirit and language into her new album "90 Millas". To thicken the Cuban mood, she has penned fellow Latin musicians to contribute in the album.
Experts such as trumpet player Arturo Sandoval, guitarist Carlos Santana, Pueto Rican singer Jose Feliciano and even Cuban native actor Andy Garcia each give a color in the album. Also joining are the Cuban musicians such as drummer Sheila E. and salsa singer Luis Enrique.

Radio personality DJ Khaled has set the release date for album "We the Best". The sophomore album will hit the stores by June 12 via Terror Squad/KOCH Records.
Khaled as usual involves many of his artist friends in the making of this record. In the first single "We Takin' Over" alone, there are T.I., Akon, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and the rapper Baby to back it. Other musicians lending their hands for this album include The Game, Jadakiss, Paul Wall, Ja Rule, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Styles P, Cassidy, Juelz Santana and Young Dro.

The music group's "Hypnotize" sold 324,000 copies in its first week of release, placing them exactly on the top position. Just behind them at No. 2 on the chart is Kenny Chesney, whose "The Road and the Radio" sold another 300,000 units this week.
"Now That's What I Call Music! 20" by various artists secures the 3rd place on sales of 290,000 units, followed by Madonna's "Confessions on a Dancefloor" at No. 4 with 210,000 units. Rounding out the Top 5 is "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" soundtrack which sold 207,000 units.

This is the second time in 2005 that Chesney tops the chart, while also becoming his fourth straight number-one debut.
Opens at No. 2 on the chart is the soundtrack for rapper 50 Cent's new movie, entitled "Get Rich or Die Tryin"' sold nearly 317,000 copies. Comes behind at No. 3 is "Now That's What I Call Music! 20" by various artists with sales of 221,000. In the meantime, Neil Diamond's "12 Songs" debuts at No. 4 with sales of 93,000 copies, ahead of Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons" at 5th with 92,000 copies.

The set is reported to sell for 378,000 copies in the week ended November 6.
