Ronan Keating Pays Emotional Tribute at Stephen Gately's Funeral
October 19, 2009 11:10:51The life of late boybander Stephen Gately was celebrated in a funeral ceremony in his native Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, October 17, during when Boyzone bandmate Ronan Keating delivered an emotional tribute, recalling the sweet memories they spent together with the rest of the music act. The private event, taking place at St Lawrence O'Toole church, was attended by close friends and family. Fans gathered outside the building as they listened to Ronan's eulogy.
In his tribute, Ronan recounted how Stephen loved to laugh and give nicknames for him as well as bandmates Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, and Shane Lynch. Beside recalling Stephen's good sense of humor, Ronan also said how the late 33-year-old singer was very excited about the prospect of Boyzone's new studio album.

Boyzone Coming Back but Without Ronan Keating?
January 10, 2006 09:01:53Maybe envying the success of the just comeback Take That, teen pop phenomenon Boyzone reportedly is planning a comeback to the music scene. Stephen Gateley, in fact, has confirmed the report saying that his band does planning to reunite but without frontman Ronan Keating.
"I don't know whether there will be another record. Probably, I'd like there to be. Probably Ronan won't be involved. But the other four of us had dinner and discussions about what we could do in the future," Stephen said, while explaining "There's still a huge fan base and we just had a re-released album out and it went to number six in the UK, even without any promotion."
