Big Cast Rounding Out Action Thiller Gehenna Project
December 03, 2007 04:12:59Ron Perlman, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ray Winstone, Taryn Manning, Henry Rollins, and Valerie Cruz are about to star together in a new action thriller feature set to be produced by former Universal Pictures head Sid Sheinberg, "Untitled Gehenna Project."
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Gooding and Manning will join the likes of Jason London, Franky G, Zack Ward, Stephanie Jacobson, and Brandon Fobbs to play members of an elite group of soldiers who got sent on a covert mission to retrieve a missing scientist, portrayed by Perlman, from an underground lab.

No doubt will get busier for few years ahead, Ron Perlman has added one more film project into his big screen resume, placing an indie dramedy entitled "Vacuuming the Cat" in the list.
Written by Ted Henning, the flick centers on a young man who, after suffering the death of his wife, goes to the desert to build a porch for his aunt and meets a retired ex-cop who guides him through his grief toward acceptance.

Seems to have no shortage of offers, Ron Perlman has signed deals to both star in and executive produce a big screen feature titled "Standing Down", which will be developed under Big Screen Entertainment banner.
Written by Ron Zimmerman, the project presents the story about Sgt. Patrick Ulysses Macklin, a career soldier who must face the prospect of life without the US Army. Also attached to star is hip-hop sensation Pras Michel with BSEG CEO Kimberley Kates, Michael Manasseri, and David Zappone all producing.

There are at least two more actors joining the cast of the highly anticipated "The Mutant Chronicles", they are Stephen Rea and Ron Perlman. Both of them have joined Thomas Jane, Benno Furmann and John Malkovich to star in the upcoming sci-fi action thriller flick.
Based on the popular role-playing game, "The Mutant Chronicles" is set in the 23rd century, in which four giant corporations have pillaged the last of the planet's resources, causing a demonic, marauding army of underworld NecroMutants to wage war against humans for what remains.
