Soared as a huge phenomenon all over Latin America while being able to compete against the local acts in U.S market, RBD appears to have no difficulty at all in their attempt to create more buzz across the two regions. Already made memorable performances in Los Angeles and San Francisco during the first half of December 2006, this Latin pop group joyously still have a handful of shows ahead for them to carry out during the rest of the month. Included in the list are participations on “Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade” and “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2007” by date 24 and 31, respectively before they head for Spain to perform onstage in Barcelona and Madrid early January 2007 then showing up at CALLE 8 Festival set to take place in Miami, Florida on March 11.
Unmistakably the most popular Mexican music group in the world to date, RBD is made up of six energetic, striking young talents skilled in singing, acting, and dancing that took form in November 2004. The troupe initially was a part of the major plot point in Latin soap opera “Rebelde” aired by Televisa, the largest media company in the Hispanic world. However, upon finding out that the series became such a massive success throughout Latin America, it then was unanimously decided to bring the act to reality with main stars Alfonso Herrera Rodriguez (born August 28, 1983), Anahi Giovanna Puente Portillo (born May 14, 1983), Dulce Maria Espinoza Savinon (born May 14, 1983), Christopher Alexander Luis Casilass Von Uckermann (born October 21, 1986), Maite Perroni Beoriqui (born on March 3, 1983), and Jose Christian Chavez Garza (born on August 7, 1983) as the personnel.
RBD as a long runner in Latin music industry substantially won 3 nominations, an equal portion that was won by virtually unknown artist named Mariano Barba.READ MORE
