An Inside Look Into 'Ninja Assassin' Unleashed
October 28, 2009 02:10:33The training for the impressive stunts in the November-released "Ninja Assassin" has been uncovered in a new featurette. Providing an inside look at the training for the action sequences, the promo video courtesy of Cineplex offers glimpses of the training leading actor Rain and others undergo to prepare themselves for the action-packed sequence.
Intercepting the training footage are several never-before-seen footage from the movie as well as some behind-the-scenes from the set. Director James McTeigue, producer Joel Silver and stunt coordinator Chad Stahelski are also seen giving commentaries on what the movie is all about and what they want to achieve. Stahelski, in particular, shares that they don't want to rely on the visual effects in offering the stunts.
'Ninja Assassin' Unleashes an Action-Packed Clip
September 05, 2009 10:09:13The first full clip from the much-anticipated "Ninja Assassin" has been brought forth by MTV. Around one minute long, the snippet is filled with action sequences, which include sword fight in the middle of oncoming traffic, and filled with impressive stunts. It captures Rain's Raizo as he is trying to make his escape from the gang of ninja sent to kill him.
Beside the clip, MTV also presented the Q&A session with the Korean pop star during its "Behind the Screen" special, where he answered questions from MTV readers. Asked about the injuries he suffered from the filming, he said, "I have lots of cuts on my body. When I was doing a stunt, even though everyone took care of me, I still got hurt a lot."

Celebrating the special screening event, DreamWorks Animation greeted the celebrities with a unique blue carpet and a man-high statue of B.O.B., one of the monsters in the movie.

The special screening event was held on Tuesday, October 7 at Empire in Leicester Square, London where dancing cheerleaders, basketball players and hordes of screaming fans made it even merrier.
Attending the premiere were some of the musical movie's major cast, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu, who were all dressed to impress. While the boys were wearing suits, the girls wore stylish mini dresses. In anticipation to 'Skinwalkers' theatrical release, a soundtrack spawning beats by Andre Lockington (Xchange, Cake, Saint Ralph) is brought on street to give early impact. The online release date is set for July 31 while the physical CD will be dropped August 7, just 3 days prior its movie release.
For this record alone, Lockington did a research on Japanese's Taiko and Sudanese percussion that will serve the basis of the whole orchestral arrangement. The overall sound of the scores is the meeting between modern digital vibe and medieval instruments.

Broadening the lineup of the movies set to be presented at this year's Toronto International Film Festival, organizers of the event have smoothly added a handful of film titles into the list for sure.
Coming as a Toronto Gala Presentation at the fest will be New Line Cinema's Middle East political thriller "Rendition" directed by "Tsotsi" helmer Gavin Hood. Four well-known names in directing field this time are carrying out the same banner for sure. Variety has brought in news reporting that Chuck Russell, Deepa Mehta, Joel Schumacher, and Peter Cattaneo have all been picked up by Baldwin Entertainment Group to each work on a film for the studio.
Russell will take helming duties on "Mandrake", an action adventure based on the Hearts comic while Mehta is set to direct an eco drama simply entitled "Luna." Schumacher, in the meantime, will make action flick "1:30 Train" with Cattaneo directing a rom-com movie called "Indiscretion."

Quickly making a follow-up to its announcement of films presented at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, Sundance Institute revealed Thursday, November 30 the lineup of movies set to be screened in its Premieres section consisting of seventeen works of the latest effort from established American and international directors.
Screened at the Salt Lake City Gala is "Black Snake Moan" which stars Samuel L. Jackson as Lazarus, a blues musician who becomes the protector of an abused woman. Another Jackson's vehicle, "Resurrecting the Champ" will also be shown in the section as closing film alongside another U.S flick "The Nines" and British film "Longford."

Sykes & Wilson Join Super Ex-Girlfriend Cast

Wanda Sykes and Rainn Wilson aren't super heroes, but soon to becoming so or at least trying to do so. The twosome has joined the cast of "My Super Ex-Girlfriend," a comedy romance action flick directed by Ivan Reitman.
Already on board to star in is Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson. Wilson is slated to play the main role, a man who learns that his girlfriend (Thurman) is a superhero and breaks up with her when she becomes too controlling and neurotic. The story goes on as she then uses her powers to torment and embarrass him.
