Half of the Jam Band Phish Plan Reunion
May 01, 2006 11:05:28
Not all, but some of the jam band Phish members are planning a reunion. They are bassist Mike Gordon, drummer Jon Fishman, and singer Grace Potter, all of whom will reunite for a political cause, which is Rep. Bernie Sanders' bid for the Senate replacing retiring Sen. James Jeffords.
They are all about to team up with other Vermont musicians on June 2 at a benefit for Sanders. About the gig, Gordon commented that Sanders move from the House to the Senate "would give him even more of a chance to shake things up that need to be shaken up."

No Phish in Anastasio's Summer Tour
May 20, 2005 11:05:54Phish isn't in the list of the bands to perform at its former member Trey Anastasio's summer tour. The so called Zooma Tour will, somehow, perform such other bands as Medeski Martin & Wood, Gomez, G.Love & Special Sauce, Galactic, Brazilian Girls, Xavier Rudd, Jurassic 5, Black Keys, Toots & The Maytals, and Ray Lamontagne.
In the tour, meant to echo the spirit of Bonnaroo and is worked by people under the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, those bands are set to feature on two performance stages as well as an activity village with several guest acts performing at each stop along the tour. Anastasio himself is set to open the tour in June 16 in Camden, N.J. alongside Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals.
