Labelle Set Reunion Album's Release Date
July 01, 2008 02:07:42Patti LaBelle proves that she is serious with her previous statements about the reunion of her R 'n' B group Labelle as the group now have already set the release date for their reunion LP. According to Billboard.com the trio's upcoming record, which is still untitled will be outed on September 23.
On the new record the group won't be working alone as they revealed that some famous musicians will be helping them. Those musicians are two famous music producers Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff and also rock star Lenny Kravitz.

Patti LaBelle does love "Good Life." The international superstar is teaming up with Skeleton Key Entertainment, the mainstream entertainment division of Mega Media Group, Inc. to help launched her "Patti LaBelle - Good Life" brand and introduced a product line that includes premium pepper products, her third cookbook and an instructional cooking DVD.
The first food product to be released under the "Patti LaBelle - Good Life" brand is a custom blended line of hot sauces and relishes that will be introduced later this year throughout major retail food outlets nationwide. The line reportedly includes five major products; LaBelle No. 1 -- Diced Fine Jalapenos; LaBelle No. 2 -- Sweet Hot Jalapeno Relish; LaBelle No. 3 -- Rich Red Blended Cayenne & Habanero Pepper Sauce; LaBelle No. 4 -- Hot Flash Blended Habanero & Jalapeno Sauce; and LaBelle No. 5 -- Pepper Clear Mild Pepper Sauce.

Singing and fronting Rocawear women's line, Ciara is now readying herself to invade film industry. The R&B sensation is about to make her feature film debut in the screen adaptation of gospel musical "Mama, I Want to Sing!"
The film, which will be produced by CodeBlack Entertainment, based loosely on the life of Doris Troy, follows the story of a preacher's daughter who hits the big time. Charles Randolph-Wright is lending hand to direct the project.

A Grammy winning R&B/soul singer, Patti LaBelle was honored Monday March 26th at the 18th annual Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) media awards ceremony with a Special Achievement award for championing gay and lesbian rights, and participating in the fight against AIDS.
Oscar-winning "Dreamgirl" Jennifer Hudson was the one presented the award for LaBelle. Designer Tom Ford during the same event, held in Time Square's Marriott Marquis hotel, also was presented with the Vito Russo Award for his humanitarian contributions and work with AIDS-related charities.

It is sad for us to inform that Patti LaBelle has already had her current tour, "The Gospel According to Patti," postponed. The singer announced the cancellation of her tour on Monday Dec 18th.
The postponement of the tour reportedly occurs as a result of differences with the tour's promoter. However, LaBelle claimed she had a good relationship with sponsors and hoped to restart the tour.

OutKast takes off in 2006 with two new projects all at once, the first of which happens to be a new album and the other one is a movie project. The Atlanta hip hop-duo set to hit hard the industry with the release of their highly anticipated set, titled "Idlewild", which will hit store shelves on Aug. 22.
The long-anticipated release will serve as the soundtrack for the Universal/HBO Films release of the same name, open August 25, as well. Also starring in the big-screen musical are Ving Rhames, Ben Vereen, Cicely Tyson, Patti LaBelle and Macy Gray.

The OutKast film "Idlewild", which has been delayed for many times, is now scheduled to hit worldwide theaters on August 25th later this year, only three days after the release of its soundtrack.
Of drama musical genre, "Idlewild" is set in the 1930s around the music and business of running a speakeasy. The flick is written and directed by Bryan Barber. Will star in among others are Patti LaBelle, Macy Gray, Fishbone's Angelo Moore, Terrence Howard, Faizon Love, Ben Vereen and Cicely Tyson.
