P.O.D.'s Original Guitarist Back for New Album
February 05, 2008 09:02:24While many band members decide to make an exit, Marcos Curiel is doing it the other way. The former guitarist of P.O.D. who quit from the metal band 4 years ago, is re-joining his bandmates to work on an album called "When Angels & Serpent Dance", due April 8.
Curiel admitted that his return to the band has been pretty smooth that it was as if he "hadn't even left." He officially departed from the band in February 2003 due to his side project and "spiritual differences" although rumors were circulating that he was actually kicked out of the band. Jason Truby came as a replacement but announced his departure in late 2006, just in time Curiel wanted to re-join.
Lil Jon Combines 'Crunk' and 'Rock' as New Project
July 31, 2007 01:07:46
Lil Jon has spurted the idea of combining his signature "crunk" sound with "rock" vibe to make "Crunk Rock". The TVT release will be the ultimate record to sport collision among artists like P.O.D., Ice Cube, Lil Wayne, Ciara and Kid Rock.
"I worked with the guitar player from P.O.D., Marcos, a punk band called Whole Wheat Bread from Jacksonville, Fla., Kid Rock and a few others," Lil Jon said. "My s**t is real rock guitars with my beats, not keyboard guitars with ghetto beats. It's gonna be a little different from what you hear right now, but I think everyone will love it."

Billboard 200's Top Ten Albums
February 02, 2006 12:02:27Finally the battle for top spot of Billboard 200 between Jamie Foxx and Mary J. Blige has ended as pop-opera group Il Divo sneaks in to take the honor on the chart by Wednesday, February 1 through "Ancora." With 156,000 copies sold for the week ended Sunday, January 29 as counted by Nielsen SoundScan, the record scored a significant note on the chart for its success marks the first time an album topped the Billboard 200 without a radio single since Radiohead's "Kid A" in 2000.
Securing the second rank, Josh Turner came in with his sophomore effort, "Your Man", followed by Foxx's "Unpredictable" on number 3 and Blige's "The Breakthrough" on number 4. Placed in order, the next 6 are "Lights and Sounds" by Yellowcard, "Now #1s" by various artists, "Some Hearts" by Carrie Underwood, "Curtain Call" by Eminem, "Testify" by P.O.D., and "High School Musical" by various artists.
