October 25, 2008 11:10:52Fox Searchlight Pictures have presented the full length trailer of their upcoming drama biopic, "Notorious". Giving out more to the life-and-death story of Notorious B.I.G. than what the teaser has displayed earlier, the trailer chronicles B.I.G.'s childhood, his problems with police, his rise to stardom and the event leading to his murder.
Opened with a clip showing screaming crowd, the footage starts with an introduction to the legendary rapper, claiming him as "the greatest rapper of all time" and "a visionary of the hip hop world". It then flashes back to the time when he was a child, growing up in Brooklyn, New York and dealing drugs at an early age. Exposing his talent, the footage continues by displaying how he deals with his fame and his romance with two different women.
'Notorious' Presents Teaser Trailer

Then, it is followed by the display of the rapper's life from his childhood to the fast lane. The short footage also teases B.I.G.'s mother, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and Faith Evans.
Highlighting the short life of Christopher Wallace a.k.a. B.I.G., "Notorious" is to chronicle the journey Wallace experiences throughout his life from his life in the streets of Brooklyn to his rise to stardom when he used his narrative talent to tell about violent life on the streets. Dubbed to be one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time, B.I.G. was shot to death on March 9, 1997.

In her tome, titled "Keep the Faith", she recounts her marriage life with her late husband and more surprising she also talks about the many affairs he had plus all the women she caught sleeping with him.
Opening up about her turbulent marriage to Biggie, the hit maker confesses in her book that she once caught Lil' Kim in bed with him. "I got to Big's bedroom door, turned the knob, and went inside. As soon as I saw a small lump next to Big's large frame, I flew into a rage, ran over to the side of the bed, and pulled back the covers. I grabbed some chick out of the bed and started beating her a--. At some point, the chick's wig came off in my hand: It was a short, cropped wig. I stopped throwing punches for a minute to get a good look at the chick I was beating up. It was Lil' Kim. Former Employee Seeks $19 Million From P. Diddy

A man is issuing a lawsuit against P. Diddy from his cell block. James Sabatino who formerly worked as consultant in Diddy's 'Bad Boy Entertainment', claimed that the rapper owes him $19 million through his work with the late Notorious B.I.G.
Sabatino admitted he flew B.I.G. to Miami in 1994, for the rapper to record a 17 minutes vocal and 90 minutes worth of video. With no written contract, the rights were considered reserved to Sabatino since he paid for the expenses and the studio cost.

After the nationwide online casting call, here comes the in-person audition for "Notorious", the upcoming biographical feature about famous rapper Notorious B.I.G., Notorious Films, the studio behind the project, has revealed.

Looking for the right one to play Notorious B.I.G. on screen, producers of an upcoming biopic on the deceased rapper announced Thursday, August 9 that an open casting call is held for hopefuls out there to fill in the role.
Been in the works for nearly seven years, "Notorious", so the project is called, will look for its lead star by auditioning actors and non-actors alike who resemble the artist. Those wanting to take part are required to submit audition videos beginning 3 AM EDT Sunday, August 12 to either BiggieCasting.com or FoxSearchlight.com where any information about the flick can also be read.

On March 6, 2007, three days before the 10th anniversary of Notorious B.I.G.'s death, Bad Boy Records released the compilation of his best pieces, "Greatest Hits". One week later, it debuted at #1 on US Billboard 200 chart with 99,000 copies sold. This is his third No.1 peak since "Life After Death" (1997) and "Born Again" (1999).
Indie rock band Arcade Fire that just entered the chart this week soars to #2 with the album "Neon Bible" at 92,000 copies. The chart topper last week, DAUGHTRY with self-titled album sold only 82,000 copies and therefore falls to #3. Akon's "Konvicted" then is down to No. 4 with total sales of 76,000.

U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper has on Wednesday March 29th, 2006 ordered the city to pay $1.1 million payment to late Notorious B.I.G.'s family as a penalty for police negligence in last year's wrongful death trial.
The legal cost, caused by police errors during a wrongful death case brought against the city and the LAPD in which a police detective withheld documents that were pertinent to claims made by the rapper's family, represents the cost of legal fees and other expenses incurred by the family's attorneys.
Judge Stops Sales of Notorious B.I.G. Album

U.S. District Judge Todd Campbell has blocked the sale of Notorious B.I.G.'s breakthrough 1994 album "Ready to Die" after a jury decided Friday that the title song used part of an Ohio Players' 1992 song "Singing In The Morning." Following such decision, Bridgeport Music and Westbound Records, the two music companies that own rights to Ohio Players recordings were awarded $4.2M in damages.
The sales ban issued affects the late rapper's album "Ready to Die" and the title song in any form, including downloads and radio. Though, it was unclear when or how the ban would take effect. Despite such fact, the defendants, Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy LLC, Justin Combs Publishing and Universal Records, plan to appeal.

B.I.G. Family Awarded US$1.1 Million

United States District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper declared a mistrial in the civil case last summer, after ruling that Los Angeles Police Department detective Steven Katz had withheld statements linking former LAPD officers David Mack and Rafael Perez to the rapper's still unsolved 1997 slaying.

Violent During B.I.G. Duets Record-Release Party
December 22, 2005 02:12:55The record-release party, held Wednesday Dec 21st at a Manhattan nightclub for a new record featuring duets with the late rapper Notorious B.I.G., turned into a violent. There were three people stabbed inside the club, while three others were shot in a parking lot near the club called "Exit."
Chronicling the incident, police first responded to a 3:10 a.m. call reporting gun shots at a parking garage near the club and found three men wounded. All of them are said to be in stable condition at a local hospital. Shortly thereafter police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the club and discovered two men cut in the face and one stabbed in the stomach.

The late singer apparently left a never-before-released song, believed to have been recorded in a Miami bedroom in 1979, which will be available on the upcoming compilation "Africa Unite: The Singles Collection."
The set, due November 8 via Island/Tuff Gong/UME, includes "Slogans," the master tape of which was discovered by Marley's sons Ziggy and Stephen in 2003. Also it will feature early recordings as well as Marley's biggest hits, which is rounded out by a new remix of the title track from the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am plus Ashley Beedle's mash-up of "Get Up, Stand Up" and Damian Marley's "Welcome to Jamrock."

The Rap legend, best known as Notorious B.I.G. who died in a March 1997 shooting, continues to live on with the forthcoming release of a new single, "Hold Ya Hand." It is a duet of him with reggae legend Bob Marley that will also appear on "The Notorious B.I.G. Duets: The Final Chapter," due November 29 via Bad Boy.
"Hold Ya Hand," the first track to be released from the album, includes a sample of Marley's "Johnny Was." The rest of the album will include participation from "some of music's greatest vocalists and MCs" and "the industry's top producers," so said Bad Boy. The project will also include a DVD with previously unreleased Biggie performance footage, interviews and music videos.
B.I.G. on Big Screen
July 21, 2005 10:07:00Fox Searchlight Pictures said on Wednesday it has bought the rights to make a film about the life of late rapper Notorious B.I.G.. To start working on that project, journalist Cheo Hodari Coker has been tapped to write the biopic and Antoine Fuqua is set to direct.
Producing the film will be B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace, and his former managers Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts. Detailing about the set, Barrow said the three of them had been trying to get a film off the ground for the last five years.
