Neve Campbell Set to Return in 'Scream 4'
September 25, 2009 02:09:26Contrary to earlier reports, Neve Campbell has apparently signed on to return as Sidney Prescott for "Scream 4". Variety reported the head of Dimension Films, Bob Weinstein, himself has brought up the news when announcing a new slate of movie projects the studio is putting into production.
The leading lady of the first three "Scream" films will join her returning castmates, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, when production is kicked off in April or May of 2010. This news debunked previous speculation that her character has to be scrapped off from the new installment due to her refusal to get involved.

June 19, 2009 05:06:12Neve Campbell, who portrayed Sidney Prescott on the first three "Scream" films, reportedly has refused to get involved in the fourth installment of the thriller-mystery, "Scream 4". The rumors sparked as the screenwriter of the film, Kevin Williamson, recently wrote in his Twitter page, "Trying to figure out a Sid-less scenario. She won't do it. This sucks."
Campbell's tight schedule reportedly becomes the reason behind her refusal to be involved. She currently is starring in a new NBC TV series entitled "The Philanthropist" and working on lots of movie projects. The 35-year-old actress previously worked on "Relative Strangers" and "Closing the Ring".
Old Faces Could Be Seen in 'Scream 4'
January 13, 2009 12:01:07While earlier reports suggested that "Scream 4" may be far from fruition, it seems that the next installment of the horror thriller franchise is still moving on. Bloody-Disgusting recently came up with a report, suggesting that several of the original main characters, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, would make their returns.
However, since this feature project is intended to be a younger version of the "Scream" movies, those three will only make cameo appearances. Campbell, Cox and Arquette, who all have starred in the previous three "Scream" films as Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers and Deputy Dwight Riley respectively, reportedly are in negotiation for the cameos. Nonetheless, there are yet words on the possible cameos from Dimension Films.

The program, created by people with epilepsi and members of the health care community, is meant to tell people with epilepsy what they can demand in the workplace and at school and to provide information about the disease and its treatment.
The actress' cousin, Hollywood make-up artist Coleen Campbell-Olwell and her mother both have the disease. Maybe that's one reason why she wants to join the program. Explaining on her involvement Campbell says "There is great misunderstanding about epilepsy, I think, not only by people who don't know what it is but by people with it who don't believe they can lead a normal life or that they have options."
Neve to Star in the Off-Broadway of 'Loose Ends'
April 02, 2005 10:04:06Actress Neve Campbell is planned to star in the Off-Broadway revival of Michael Weller's "Loose Ends" produced by her brother and Reefer stage and film star Christian Campbell. "Loose Ends" basically tells tumultuous relationship of a world-travelling man and woman in the 1970s, from their first meeting on a beach in Bali to their marriage in Boston to an unexpected revelation when they are reunited in New York.
Set to direct the play is Austin Pendleton, and Steven Sendor (Uncle Bob) will produce the work with Christian Campbell under Rebellion Productions. The lead male role is currently being cast, but dates and a theatre for the revival have not yet announced.
