October 03, 2008 11:10:35Video promo for episode 5.03 of "CSI: NY" has arrived. Presenting the episode where R 'n' B star Nelly is taking a part as a guest star named Terrence Davis, it previews the episode when Mac Taylor deals with a mile-high crime scene.
Entitled "Turbulance", the episode will take Mac on a flight to Washington D.C., but shortly after the plane takes off, it has to be grounded. A body of a dead air marshal is found in the plane, making everybody on board the flight to be the suspects for the murder. Now, he has to find the clues and the murder weapon to solve the new case.

Led by a song called "Wadsyaname", "Brass Knuckles", which has gone through a series of delay due to a competitive season, will be dropped to stores on September 16 via Hollywood Records. Among featured guests, Nelly has chosen singer Ashanti to team up with him in his second single "Body on Me" and signed rapper Akon to produce the song.

In its ninth week, finally it gathers 166,000 digital sales and rightfully sits at the top position of Billboard Hot 100 chart. Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie has held the position twice and therefore is the only sixth solo female artist in 20 years to collect more than one #1 single from debut album.
With Fergie sitting on that position, it knocks out last week's three toppers to slip one places each. MIMS' "This Is Why I'm Hot" falls to #2, Akon's "Don't Matter" is down to #3 and Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" featuring Akon falls 3-4.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and CTV, organizers of Canada's biggest music awards show Juno, revealed Tuesday Jan 30th the early performers to perform at the event. Canadian rockers Billy Talent and Three Days Grace have both been named to the 2007 Juno performance lineup.

The second best on the charts is Chris Brown's "Run It!" and the No. 3 is Nickelback's "Photograph." In the meantime, Kanye West's "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx rebounds four places to No. 4, whereas Nelly's "Grillz" drops two to No. 5.

In chain with the set's many success, Carey has on Thursday Dec 22 scored her 17th No. 1 single as "Don't Forget About Us" rose to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
This attainment obviously brings Carey to the same position with Elvis Presley as the second among artists with the most No. 1 singles in the rock era. Carey and Presley have 17 No. 1 hits, second only to The Beatles, who had 20. Back to the chart, the 2nd rank is secured by Chris Brown's "Run It!" followed then at 3rd by Nelly's "Grillz." D4L's "Laffy Taffy" securing the No. 4, and The Pussycat Dolls' "Stickwitu" jumps two places to No. 5.

Nelly Goes Beyond Rap
September 22, 2005 10:09:37For Nelly life isn't merely about rap. Rapping indeed isn't everything for him and so he steps his feet beyond, inked a deal to develop a reality television series with A. Smith & Co. Productions that was announced Wednesday. The show will be a journal of "the day-to-day life" of the hip-hop rap artist.
Speaking about his new project, Nelly said "I look forward to showing my fans what my world is about and bringing more attention to my nonprofit organizations." The show is on target to be on air sometime next year.
Faith Evans, Billboard Chart's Queen
April 14, 2005 10:04:26It's so close, then Faith Evans will just lead this week Billboard album chart, beaten 50 Cent who has already on top for a five-consecutive week. Evan's First Lady has been sold of more than 157,000 during its first week of release, just 7,000 copies less than 50 Cent's The Massacre which scored sales more than 165,000, securing the rapper first-place position for the sixth time. The winner on the third place is Beck's Guero, who was on the second last week. After Beck is the 18th edition of the popular Now That's What I Call Music! franchise, featuring contributions from the likes of U2, Chingy, Nelly, Hoobastank and Destiny's Child.
At number five is R&B quartet 112's Pleasure & Pain, coming behind is rapper Will Smith's Lost and Found. At #7 on the chart are pop-punk patriarchs Green Day, with American Idiot recording just under 59,000 scans. In the 8th place is rapper Beanie Sigel's The B.Coming. Finishing at #9 is rock-and-roll princess Lisa Marie Presley with Now What and on the 10th position is Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams, which recorded sixth-week sales of close to 55,000.
Nelly's Tour Halted as Sister Dies
March 26, 2005 09:03:08Rapper Nelly immediately halted his several Sweat/Suit Tours in Texas following the death of his half-sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Donahue, in Thursday to complications from leukemia. The 31 years old female, who in June 2003 launched the "Jes Us 4 Jackie" campaign to solicit potential donors, has been diagnosed with the disease in 2001 and is survived for almost two years, time when she used to be Nelly hairstylist until she became too ill. Though never found a match for Donahue, the organization did enlist hundreds for the National Donor Registry.
Soon after hearing his sister death, Nelly flew back to St. Louis to be with his family. Details on the funeral have not yet been settled. A statement released on behalf of Nelly and his family said they were "deeply saddened" by Donahue's death, but they also thanked all those who responded to Nelly's call to action.
