First Look of Zach Galifianakis on 'American Dad'
November 19, 2009 02:11:54This Sunday, November 22, not only My Morning Jacket will be on "American Dad!" but also "The Hangover" actor Zach Galifianakis. The actor and the band will be animated in the episode called "My Morning Straitjacket" and the first look of them as cartoon characters has been released.
Unlike My Morning Jacket who appear as themselves, Galifianakis will be voicing a guest character named Norman. According to Entertainment Weekly, Norman is a superfan of My Morning Jacket who will be performing in a festival. The band reportedly would bring their hits such as "I'm Amazed", "Steam Engine", and "Remnants".
Video Premiere: My Morning Jacket's 'Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Pt. 2'
August 20, 2008 01:08:34American rock band My Morning Jacket have premiered music video for their brand new single "Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Pt. 2". The single is listed in the band's fifth studio album called "Evil Urges", which has been released in June.
The video is directed by Hornet's Mixtape Club, which have a reputation for turning out innovative, character-driven videos for J Dilla, and bands like TV on the Radio, and Yeasayer. The video is set in a form of animated movie. It takes place in a jungle on a dark night and stars a character named Jasper, a furry withdrawn creature who has big eyes. Jasper is seen in the video, carrying a lantern, which is inhabited by his only friend, a firefly whose light helps him see in the darkness.
Third Day of 2008 Coachella Festival Begins

Actor Sean Penn appeared on the stage, opening the last day with an invitation for youths to participate actively in their political stance. Penn, who openly criticize current U.S. President, Bush, gave a speech stating that all three presidential candidates are no big use in the fight against Iraq war but the youth's moves will probably make a difference.
Penn's 10-minutes speech was a few minutes away from the first act to play on the third day, My Morning Jacket and few hours after Prince's lauded performance. The 'purple' singer was made the headliner of the second day and he among his sets, covered Radiohead's "Creep" and The Beatles' "Come Together". A day before that, Jack Johnson led the crowd with his sultry music accompanied by the likes of Serj Tankian, The Raconteurs, Tegan and Sara and Goldfrapp.

A Happy New Year for Crowes

You better watch their performance, for which the reuniting rock act has tapped My Morning Jacket and the North Mississippi Allstars to mark the happy day.
The band is now in the midst of the last leg of their scheduled tour, which encompasses a five-night stand at Los Angeles' Henry Fonda Theater beginning Tuesday October 18. No shows are scheduled between an October 31 Halloween gig in Chicago and the New Year's concert.
