The trend for the young and talented may have delivered Mindless Behavior their success quite early. Back in 2008, managers Keisha Gamble and Walter Millsap held an audition in Los Angeles to find young boys who would make up an American boy band. At this stage, they discovered Princeton, and Roc Royal. The other two members were recruited at different time frames. Prodigy was found on YouTube by choreographer Dave Scott while Ray Ray was found through another audition a few months later.

"We clicked from the first day we met because we all love music and performing. On stage, we go all out," Princeton said. In the complete formation, the band were presented to Vincent Hebert and Jimmy Iovine who later signed them to Streamline / Interscope Records. They were taken under the management of Kenneth Crear and for the next two years, they immersed themselves in music, developing their singular sound and style under the guidance of Herbert and Millsap.

Prodigy specializes in dance and vocal, Ray Ray is the dancer of the group, Roc Royal has the skill to spit verses while Princeton is the commercial star. Their first single "My Girl" was released in 2010. The song got 14 million views on YouTube, and was nominated at 2011 BET Awards for Viewer's Choice. They also opened the tours for Backstreet Boys, Janet Jackson and Justin Bieber among others.

Second single "Mr. Right" received the same popularity that producers hired Brett Ratner to direct the music video. The boys' first album "#1 Girl" is released September 20, 2011. "We really want to show our fans how much we love them with #1 Girl. We want them to know we're just like them. We're all mindless 24/7, and they can be too," Prodigy said.
