October 08, 2009 09:10:52As part of his attempts to rebuild his life toward the better, Michael Vick will star in a reality show tentatively called "The Michael Vick Project". The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback infamously got into a dogfighting business and was rewarded 18 months of jail time for it. He was released in May and apparently struck a deal with BET to have cameras following him shortly after.
A "docu-series", the reality show will trace his life way back from the difficult childhood to the 2007 arrest to his comeback into Eagles. In between that, there will also be a time when he is trying to mend his strained relationships with fiancee, Kijafa Frink, and his children.
Judge Sentenced Michael Vick to 23 Months in Jail for Dogfighting and Conspiracy

US District Judge Henry E. Hudson imposed the sentence Monday, December 10, saying the National Football League superstar "hadn't taken full responsibility for his role in a dog fighting ring, including the killing of pit bulls that did not pass tests of their fighting prowess." Attending the hearing in a black and white prison jumpsuit, Vick was also sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
Michael Vick Voluntarily Surrendered to U.S. Marshals to Begin Dogfighting Sentence Early
November 20, 2007 09:11:55Michael Vick, who's been scheduled to be sentenced on December 10th later this year after pleaded guilty to a federal dogfighting charge, has voluntarily surrendered to U.S. marshals Monday November 19th for an early start to his jail time.
The Atlanta Falcons quarterback, whose dogfighting enterprise, by his own admission, included killing fighting dogs and gambling, surrendered to U.S. marshals in Richmond and was taken to the Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Va., to await sentencing.

It's official. Michael Vick was pleaded guilty Monday morning August 27th to a federal dogfighting charge and later apologized to the public, his football teammates and to "all the kids out there for my immature acts."
Vick entered his guilty plea before a U.S. District Court judge in Richmond, VA and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 10th later this year. Minutes after the court hearing, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback then faced the media, expressing his guilty feeling.

The beginning of the end has come for Michael Vick's career. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback was suspended from the National Football League (NFL) Friday August 24th, just hours after he filed a plea agreement, acknowledging that he did involve in dogfighting.
In the court papers it is stated that "Vick agreed to the killing of approximately 6-8 dogs that did not perform well in testing sessions. All of those dogs were killed by various methods, including hanging and drowning." Vick, who acknowledged bankrolling gambling on the dogfights, in fact denied placing bets himself or taking any of the winnings.

Michael Vick hits another new low with his dog-fighting accusation. The football quarterback for the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons franchise has to unfortunately lose contracts with numbers of famous brands, including Nike and Reebok, who decided to suspend the sales of his signature apparel.
Nike Inc. and Reebok International Ltd. suspended their lucrative contract with Vick on Friday July 27th, just one day after he was pleaded not guilty in federal court to a charge of conspiring to run an interstate dog-fighting operation.

Michael Vick can now all smile. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback was pleaded not guilty Thursday July 26th to conspiracy charges related to dogfighting.
Vick and three other men; Purnell Peace, Quanis Phillips, and Tony Taylor, were indicted Tuesday July 17th on charges related to illegal dogfighting. The foursome was all charged with competitive dogfighting, procuring and training pit bulls for fighting and conducting the enterprise across state lines.

Football quarterback for the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons franchise, Michael Vick, was indicted Tuesday July 17th by a federal grand jury on charges related to illegal dogfighting. Vick and three other men; Purnell Peace, Quanis Phillips, and Tony Taylor, were all charged with competitive dogfighting, procuring and training pit bulls for fighting and conducting the enterprise across state lines.
The indictment alleged that Vick and the threesome began a dogfighting operation, named "Bad Newz Kennels," in early 2001 in which dogs fought to the death, or close. They had the dogs housed trained and fought at a Surry County, Va., property owned by Vick. Losing dogs were sometimes killed by electrocution, drowning, hanging or gunshots.
