Those on 'Time 100' Influential List

Film maker Michael Moore has been listed in the "Artists and Entertainers" category on Time magazine's second annual 'Time 100' Influential List' published on Sunday April 10, 2005. On the list also USA President George W Bush and lifestyle trendsetter Martha Stewart.

Moreover, this year list, which according to Time managing editor Jim Kelly is more about moral influence, also lists Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, who survived dioxin poisoning; and conservative German Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who presided over Pope John Paul II's funeral on Friday April 8, 2005.

Moore, the Guild's Directoral Achivement Nominee

The Directors Guild of America has nominated Michael Moore for directoral achievement in documentary film-making for Fahrenheit 9/11, in which Moore voices his assault on President George W Bush's actions regarding the September 11 attacks.

Nominated also by the Guild Jehane Noujaim for Control Room from which she won the award for 2001's Startup.com. Any other nominees including Byambasuren Davaa and Luigi Falorni for The Story of the Weeping Camel; Ross Kauffman and Zana Briski for Born Into Brothels; and Ross McElwee for Bright Leaves.Well, congratulation for those nominees.

No Moore, and no more, to Enter Davison hall

Avoiding public protests and critics, the Davison High School Hall of Fame group had canceled its inductions because of Michael Moore nomination in that event.

The hall's nomination committee said that there were many controversies of Moore's nomination that could bring bad perception and downgrade for the honor, since Moore personality didn't representative enough as one of its candidate. Thus, there would be no Hall of Fame for Michael Moore for which he had been rejected all four times he had been nominated for it.
