December 03, 2009 01:12:26"The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" on December 2 did not only announce those vying for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards but also saw live performances from Nick Jonas and his new band, The Administration. They showcased their debut single "Who I Am" live for the very first time at the gig.
Introducing their performances were Nick's brothers/bandmates, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas, from the Jonas Brothers. "Just one year ago, we were here when we got amazing news of our first ever Grammy nomination," Joe said. Kevin then added, "So this year, Jonas glad to be back at the Grammy nomination to introduce a new project from our brother Nick. ... We're proud to introduce to you, Nick Jonas and The Administration."
Beyonce Knowles Leads 2010 Grammy Awards Nominations

Following Beyonce's domination is her junior Taylor Swift. The country music singer grabs eight nominations, four of which have her going head-to-head against Beyonce. The two female performers are up against each other in Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

October 24, 2009 10:10:51After being absent from honoring musicians in 2008, Soul Train Music Awards comes back this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Motown Records. Nominations for the upcoming event have been announced, revealing that Beyonce Knowles, Maxwell and Keri Hilson lead the pack with four nods each.
The three of them compete against each other in Song of the Year and Record of the Year. In addition, both Beyonce and Maxwell are also up for Album of the Year. Beyonce and Maxwell get their fourth kudos in Best Female and Male R&B/Soul Artist respectively. As for Keri, she receives her two other nominations in Best New Artist and Best Collaboration.

The repicients are picked up based on "the data supplied by the Nielsen Company's Broadcast Data Systems, which monitors radio airplay performance, and SoundScan, which tracks retail music sales."
Taylor Swift, whose album "Fearless" has spent more than 30 weeks on Billboard Hot 200, receives six nods followed by Michael Jackson with five and Eminem with four each. The country music beauty is listed as one of the contenders for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album in Pop/Rock and Country Music categories. Also, she is vying for Favorite Artist in Adult Contemporary Music.
2009 ALMA Awards Honorees in Music

In this fresh video, he is narrated as an unfaithful lover who embarks on a love relationship with another woman behind his girlfriend's back. In one scene, he is captured hooking up with his secret mate.
The "Bad Habits" music video was premiered on "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" on Wednesday, August 5. One of Maxwell's love interests in the video is played by Kerry Washington, the actress who played Lisa Mattson in 2008 movie "Lakeview Terrace".

The many hours he spent in his room earned him a total of 300 original songs, many of which were inspired by the traditions of West Indian music, hip-hop, and also early '80s soul music.
