Final Set of 60th Primetime Emmy Awards Presenters
September 18, 2008 04:09:33The concluding band of celebrities to handout kudos at the 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards has been announced. Among the A-listers agreeing to join the festivities are "Grey's Anatomy" stars Patrick Dempsey and Sandra Oh, "Sex and the City" actress Cynthia Nixon, "30 Rock" lead man Alec Baldwin, and one of "Lipstick Jungle" principal cast Brooke Shields.
Other television thesps confirmed to present the winged-lady statuettes include Glenn Close, Craig Ferguson, Sally Field, Ricky Gervais, Martin Sheen, Kathryn Joosten and Glynn Turman. In addition, audience will be seeing the pairing-up appearances by comedians, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, and TV stars, Mary Tyler Moore and Betty White.
Martin Sheen to Play Father in Jennifer Aniston's Romantic Comedy
January 22, 2008 02:01:17The father of Hollywood actors Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen, Martin Sheen, has been signed to play in Universal Pictures' "Traveling". He is joining the romantic comedy's ensemble cast that includes Jennifer Aniston, Aaron Eckhart, Dan Fogler, Judy Greer, Joe Anderson and John Carroll Lynch.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the Golden Globe-winning actor will star as Eckhart's father. In the film, it is told that Sheen's character has a strained relationship with his son. In the meantime, Eckhart will portray the leading character who is a widowed self-help author, while Aniston is set to play Eckhart's love interest in the movie.
Sheen & Hoper to Mark James Dean Fest
April 14, 2005 11:04:16Martin Sheen and Dennis Hoper are planning to attend the 50th anniversary of the death of James Dean, scheduled June 3-5 at the airport in Marion, about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis. Sheen, who admits, has personally been inspired to become an actor after watching Dean's performance in the film "East of Eden," will introduce his narrated American premiere of a documentary on Dean's life, "James Dean: Forever Young."
To mark the fest there will also Dean's three movies, "Giant," "East of Eden" and "Rebel Without a Cause," all of which will be introduced by actors who co-starred with Dean.
