August 25, 2009 09:08:16On Monday, August 24, it was announced the pairings that will take over the dance floor this season on "Dancing with the Stars". Most of them have leaked out last week either through unconfirmed reports or as informed by the celebrities themselves. None missed the spot.
Former House Majority leader Tom DeLay will get the assistance of Cheryl Burke who almost became a third-time champ last season had Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas not win. Ballas himself this time around will lead actress Melissa Joan Hart. They had tweeted each other on Friday, August 21 with Hart greeting "Hiya partner! I'm so excited to get this season started! Can't wait to waltz tomorrow."

August 18, 2009 10:08:54Names of celebrities that will show their dancing skills on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars" have been revealed. Announced through "Good Morning America" on Monday, August 17, the line-up includes singer Kelly Osbourne and excludes designer Vera Wang.
Contrary to early rumors, Wang will not appear in this season, neither will Dean McDermott, Audrina Patridge and Lou Ferrigno. But the group is diverse in its own way because for the first time, it includes a former House Majority leader, Texan Congressman Tom DeLay.

Rob Thomas & Jewel Kilcher Among "Soundstage" New Artists

PBS' "Soundstage" live concert series will begin its fifth season soon and the networks has listed several names to perform. Rob Thomas, Macy Gray, Jewel Kilcher and Dashboard Confessional would be the artists whose live performances are going to be comprised in a one hour TV special.
The first show featuring Thomas' Red Rocks gig in Denver will be broadcast on June 14. Gray's Grainger Studio show in Chicago will get its turn on July 5 while Dashboard's Madison Square Garden concert is slated for July 12 airplay. Jewel in particular will get a two-hour set, which will be aired separately on July 19 and 26. The show will feature her performance at Rialto Theatre in Joliet, Ill.

It's been four years that Macy Gray doesn't release any single album. Though so, the R&B singer is planning to have a "Big" release on March 27th later this year.
"Big", a follow up to Grey's 2003 "The Trouble With Being Myself," boasts production from will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, and Justin Timberlake, both of whom also provide guest performances on the project.

OutKast takes off in 2006 with two new projects all at once, the first of which happens to be a new album and the other one is a movie project. The Atlanta hip hop-duo set to hit hard the industry with the release of their highly anticipated set, titled "Idlewild", which will hit store shelves on Aug. 22.
The long-anticipated release will serve as the soundtrack for the Universal/HBO Films release of the same name, open August 25, as well. Also starring in the big-screen musical are Ving Rhames, Ben Vereen, Cicely Tyson, Patti LaBelle and Macy Gray.

The OutKast film "Idlewild", which has been delayed for many times, is now scheduled to hit worldwide theaters on August 25th later this year, only three days after the release of its soundtrack.
Of drama musical genre, "Idlewild" is set in the 1930s around the music and business of running a speakeasy. The flick is written and directed by Bryan Barber. Will star in among others are Patti LaBelle, Macy Gray, Fishbone's Angelo Moore, Terrence Howard, Faizon Love, Ben Vereen and Cicely Tyson.
Black Eyed Peas' Frontman Starts His Own Label
January 16, 2006 10:01:28Already gained popularity and success with his music group Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am has yet felt satisfy. Instead, the singer wants some more. As it was announced Friday January 13th, the man has teamed up with A&M/Interscope, forming his own label.
The label reportedly will be housed along with will.i.am's clothing line under his Los Angeles-based company, will.i.am global. Comes as the very first project of the new established label is Sergio Mendes' "Timeless," which is set to out on Feb. 14. Other acts coming out on will.i.am include Macy Gray and Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy Ferguson.
Macy Gray Helps Refugees in Houston
September 05, 2005 09:09:46Among many topliners volunteering the Hurricane Katrina's victims, R&B singer Macy Gray is one of them. She has on Saturday handed out clothes and toiletries in the Astrodome, where about 18,500 survivors were housed.
"I just really wanted to help out," she recalled. "I think the most important thing to them is their futures. They are here, and they have gotten out of that disaster but it is, like, now what? Because they can't live like that forever."
