August 29, 2008 09:08:30Hip hop group from Atlanta Dem Franchize Boyz have just released a music video for brand new single "Turn Heads". As the music video starts, an old-fashioned radio appears and then group begin taking turn in rapping their verses to the camera.
In addition, the single where they team up with rapper Lloyd of G-Unit, is confirmed to appear on the group's third major studio set called "Our World Our Way", which will not come out until September 30 via Koch Records. Beside taping Lloyd, the group, who are comprised of Jizzal Man, Parlae, Pimpin, and Buddie, have also signed Mannie Fresh for single "Mr. Feel Good".
'Lose Control', Lloyd's New Song Ft. Nelly Streamed
July 04, 2008 01:07:45Closing in to the release date of his new record "Lesson in Love", set to out on August 5, a new song from Lloyd's upcoming LP has streamed. The new track which is titled "Lose Control" features the R 'n' B singer's collaboration with rapper Nelly.
Unfortunately, there is no official confirmation whether this new song is the third official single from the new album or not. Previously, promoting "Lesson in Love" Lloyd has already spawned two tracks, "How We Do It (Around My Way)" featuring Ludacris, on March 4 and "Girls Around the World" featuring Lil Wayne, on March 12.

The new video which was shot in Miami, Florida and being directed by Hype Williams, also features Lil Wayne. Just like the title, the clip also sees lots of female models on it and also a futuristic background.
Lloyd's 'Lesson In Love' Release Date Pushed Back
May 31, 2008 11:05:42Pushing back the release date for their albums seems to be a trend for musicians lately and now Lloyd has added himself to that list. The R 'n' B singer's upcoming record "Lesson In Love" which supposedly will hit the stores on July 15 has now been rescheduled for July 22.
Unfortunately, there are no further explanation from both Lloyd or his record labels regarding the push back. Meanwhile, on the upcoming set itself, the singer taps some famous names to work with him, some of them are Ja Rule, Fabolous, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and Nelly.

"50 Cent: Blood on the Sand" is the sequel to the rap icon's "50 Center: Bulletproof", which was received well by the gaming public, selling over 1 million copies, upon its release in 2005. The video game will feature 50 Cent and the rest of his G-Unit crew; Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and DJ Whoo Kid, each of whom will also lend their voices to the project. Greater than that, the game "is primed to be packed with more exclusive unreleased music from 50 Cent and G-Unit," IGN has claimed.

Lloyd and Lil Wayne Team Up for an Album

Although no dates have been announced, in an interview with Rhapsody, the R'n'B singer revealed that they will release a joint album called "Best of Young Worlds".
"So I come out the booth," Lloyd explained on the encounter. "Weezy go in and do about 38 bars. The beat cuts off and he's still rapping. He's just killing it and I'm saying to myself, 'Oh this dude is incredible. I gotta work with this dude for real.' And from there, we started our relationship. We've even talked about doing an album together and calling it Best of Young Worlds."

Actress Kristy Swanson got herself into trouble when she involved in an altercation with the ex-wife of her companion and former skating partner, Lloyd Eisler, which then resulted in her arrest on late Saturday night June 16th.
Kristy was being escorted by police officers into the police station in Kingston, Ontario, after Eisler's ex, Marcia O'Brien, filed a complaint against her. Confirming the unfortunate to People, the "Skating with Celebrities" star said, "I had to go the police station where I had an appointment at 9 p.m. to begin the process of being arrested".

At least he still makes the list, though not in the No. 1 position. Paul McCartney's wealth is decreasing as time goes by that he is only ranked 3rd in an annual list of Britain's Richest Musical Figures released Friday April 27th by the Sunday Times. The list said the former Beatle's wealth reaches an estimated £725 million, which is down £100 million from last year.
The decrease is presumably due to his costly divorce with estranged wife Heather Mills, the paper said. Top the annual rich list is the former record label boss Clive Calder, who is considered as the country's only music billionaire with a fortune estimated at £1.3 billion. Theater composer Andrew Lloyd Webber who is worth at £740 million is moving up to 2nd place from 3rd in 2006.

At the age of 21, Lloyd has taken a huge step to expand his territory. The singer starts his own production company named "Young Goldie Production" where he will sit at the position of Executive Producer.
Backed up by Sho Nuff Records' founder Henry Lee and Jazze Pha, Lloyd started this company for one reason, buttering new artists' path to get signed by a label. The chart this week went through quite a change both in the number of copies sold and the albums reigning it. Coming first, second and third are all new comers. Modest Mouse's "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank" sold the highest unit this week with 129,000 and therefore has the right to #1 spot. The tight competitor, Joss Stone's "Introducing Joss Stone" came in at No. 2 after selling 118,000 at the first week. Elliott Yamin with self-titled debut album meanwhile joins his fellow idol casts in the chart by sitting at #3 due to total sales of 90,000.
DAUGHTRY in its seventeenth week still holds its last week position at #4 after selling 76,000. With the kind of number, DAUGHTRY's self-titled album has sold a total of 2 million copies worldwide. A tie occurs between newcomer Marques Houston's "Veteran" and old reigner Akon's "Konvicted". "Veteran" and "Konvicted" have both sold an approximate of 69,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan but the former is positioned ahead at #5.

Just when new albums started entering the chart last week, they are replaced by a fresh batch of new ones this week. Also, the number 100,000 has been broken this week after four consecutive weeks selling under that. The breaker is brand new album "Luvanmusiq" by Musiq Soulchild that sells 149,000 copies. This is the R&B artist's second #1 album since "Juslisen" in 2002. In Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart meanwhile Musiq also score a place in the Top 5 through single "B.U.D.D.Y.".
Another fresh-from-the-oven, Lloyd's "Street Love" reigns the second runner of the chart thanks to a sale of 144,000. Gun Charges Against Young Buck and Lloyd Banks Dropped

Felony gun possession charges against Young Buck and fellow rapper Lloyd Banks were dropped Wednesday November 8th at the request of prosecutors. "This whole experience reminds me of the title of my new album, Rotten Apple," Banks commented.
Buck and Banks, both are G-Unit members, were arrested in August 2005 when the van they were riding in with several other men ran a red light. Officers said that after a further investigation they discovered a loaded handgun and another weapon in the vehicle.

Veteran singer Rod Stewart leads the pack in the US pop album chart Wednesday Oct 18th, with his latest effort "Still the Same...Great Rock Classics of Our Time" sold 184,304 copies in the week ended October 15. The set, which is Stewart's first rock release in eight years, is the star's fourth No. 1 album in his entire music career.
With Stewart taking the very top position on the album chart, last week's champ goth-pop band Evanescence's "The Open Door" slips to 2nd position with another 164,000 copies. Rapper Lloyd Banks' second set, "Rotten Apple," bows at No. 3 taking in 143,000 units. Jimmy Buffett's "Take the Weather With You" is No. 4 on the Top 200 and No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart with 121,000 units.
Rapper DMX Caused Riot at Hot 97's Back to School Jam

DMX was slated to headline the Hot 97's Back to School Jam, held Saturday September 30th at the Nassau Coliseum. But the rapper unfortunately turned the concert into a riot when he allegedly beat a soundman following sound problems which caused his microphone completely cut out.
Speaking on the incident, Nassau Police Detective Sergeant James Watson said the sound problems occurred when DMX had been on stage no more than 15 minutes. "There came a point in time that the sound was turned down and up again during DMX's performance and it appears he became irate at the soundman. DMX ran toward the sound person, jumped off the stage and onto the soundboard and started a fight with the person."

"Foodfight!" is an action, animation, comedy flick based on a story by Lawrence Kasanoff and Joshua Wexler. Wrote the screenplay is Brent Friedman, Rebecca Swanson and Sean Derek, while Kasanoff himself besides directing also will produce alongside George Johnsen.
"Foodfight!" is set in a supermarket that comes to life after hours. The story begins when the lights are turned off and the doors are locked, chaos reigns supreme for the products in this grocery store. The project is slated for a fall 2006 release date. Cast announced among others are Charlie Sheen, Eva Longoria, Wayne Brady, Chris Kattan and Christopher Lloyd.
