No Head Trauma, Jett Travolta Died of Seizure Disorder
January 06, 2009 10:01:32The cause of the tragic death of John Travolta and Kelly Preston's 16-year-old son, Jett, has been revealed by his death certificate issued Monday, January 5. Although the official results of the boy's autopsy have yet to be disclosed, mortician Glen Campbell of the Restview Memorial Mortuary in the Bahamas told E! News that Jett died of seizure.
On the matter, the assistant director of the funeral home stated, "The only cause of death that was listed was 'seizure'." And, contrary to the earlier reports claiming that Jett hit his head on the bathtub in the bathroom of the family's residence at the Old Bahama Bay, he stated that "there was no sign of head trauma", adding that "the body was in good condition."
Two Experts to Be Used in Determining Jett Travolta's Cause of Death

While bringing an update news in relation to the tragic death of Jett during the Travoltas' family vacation, The Associated Press reported that the Bahamian health minister, Dr. Hubert Minnis, stated a second, U.S.-certified pathologist will fly in at dawn Monday, January 5, to assist the autopsy.
On the using of two experts, Minnis reportedly said the decision was taken to guarantee a thorough assessment of the cause of death of the teenage boy. Not disclosing any specifics on the autopsy, Minnis further told the AP on Sunday, January 4, that he has informed John on the matter, "I have spoken to (Travolta) and informed him that the government is doing everything it can." He further claimed that the result of the autopsy will be known by the end of Monday, which is the scheduled date for the procedure.

Talking to Radar Online, Marcus Garvey, the chief of the EMT crew responding to the distressed call from the Travolta's family, recounted the rescue attempt to save Jett's life on Friday morning, January 2, revealing that both John and his wife, Kelly Preston, begged their son to wake up.
In the interview with the site, Garvey stated that when he arrived on the scene, the unconscious Jett had been moved into a hallway and a doctor was performing CPR. He further revealed that the 16-year-old had a hematoma. "There was a minimum amount of blood," he said, stating that it was consistent with someone who had just had a seizure.
