Video Premiere: Keane's 'You Don't See Me'
January 27, 2009 10:01:24In support of their single "You Don't See Me", Keane have premiered a music video for the song. In the video, the rock band are seen making a live appearance, singing the track at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles.
"You Don't See Me" is one of the songs listed in Keane's third major studio record "Perfect Symmetry". Scheduled to be released as the album's fourth single, it is written by the band's bassist/pianist Tim Rice-Oxley, lead vocalist Tom Chaplin and drummer Richard Hughes.

Frontman Tom Chaplin appears in the small screen of an abandoned television singing the song. The scene on the TV is then switched to a capture of waterfall flowing down to a ravine.
"Perfect Symmetry" is the title track on Keane's third studio effort "Perfect Symmetry". The LP has been released since October to follow up their two previous albums "Hopes and Fears" and "Under the Iron Sea".
Keane Plotting One-Off Gig in London

The show will serve as a precursor of their upcoming third major studio album called "Perfect Symmetry". The gig, which only comprises of one date, has been scheduled on September 29 at London's Forum.
One of the songs in the band's forthcoming record entitled "Spiralling" has been available for purchase since August 4. Meanwhile, another new tune "The Lovers Are Losing", which is suggested to be their lead song, will be released on October 20.

Kasabian has put an end to their ongoing feud with fellow British act Keane after both appeared on the "go green" event.
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan said, "I'm over arguing about Keane. I'm trying to grow up in this world, man and that's like the green message." The vocalist had an argument with Keane frontman Tom Chaplin when he called Chaplin a "posh boy" and allegedly revealed that he lived on a diet of pies and Quavers. Prior to that, Meighan's band mate Serge Pizzorno also made fun of Chaplin entering rehab for an addiction to port.

After announcing the names of honorees, VH1 Rock Honors gives away the list of performers on the May 12 night. The second year will feature Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains, Nickelback, Keane and also Gretchen Wilson as the tribute artists.
The order of honors will go as follow: Queens of the Stone Age for Ozzy Osbourne, Nickelback for ZZ Top, Gretchen Wilson and Alice in Chains for Heart, and Keane for Genesis. In memory of the late Princess Diana, her sons William and Harry have both penned several names to perform in a concert. "We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted. A church service wasn't enough. We wanted this big concert full of energy, fun and happiness. It has to be the best birthday present she ever had," William said.
Newly reunited band Take That is among lots to be asked personally by the princes. Mark Owen said in reply, "Princess Diana was such an amazing woman. I think it's lovely the princes want to do something to remember her."

The Rolling Stones will step on the UK festival stage for the first time since 1976. The British band will headline the Isle of Wight Festival on June 10. It is expected that the frontman Mick Jagger will give a live Webcast on March 22 in the website. The talk will concern this involvement, other European concert dates as well as the make-up concerts for 2006 cancelled dates.
The festival that absorbs a growing number of audiences each year will be held on June 8 until June 10. Snow Patrol and The Feeling will headline the first day and on the next day Muse and Kasabian will replace them as the headliner. GQ magazine has just held its annual ceremony in London and chosen as one of its big winners is Paul McCartney who during that feast was chosen Man of the Year. The former Beatle was noted for his latest album "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard" released in September 2005, as well as his recent successful tour of America.
McCartney could not attend the ceremony to accept the honor, but still GQ Editor Dylan Jones praised the star as "not only one of our greatest living legends, he's also probably the most dignified."

British band Keane has been forced to cancel a planned US tour as frontman Tom Chaplin goes into rehab for drugs and alcohol treatment.
"I've been having to deal with an increasing problem with drink and drugs, and the time has come to get the professional help I need to sort myself out," Chaplin said on the band's Web site (www.keanemusic.com) on Tuesday August 22nd. "I feel desperately disappointed to be letting down our fans, but I want to get myself right now so that I can be back on the road for the rest of the year."

Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Who are only two of the many music acts set to play the upcoming U.S. version of the Virgin Festival, which is about to be held on September 23 at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
The festival, presented by Virgin Mobile, will also visit Toronto on September 9-10, thus marking the first time the longstanding U.K. festival has left its shores.

Moving 219,000 for the week ended Sunday June 25th, the Mosley Music/Geffen set earning Furtado her best single-week sales and her first No. 1 on the big chart.
What is more from the star is that the album's first single, "Promiscuous" featuring Timbaland, has peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Back to the Billboard 200, securing the runner up position is Underoath's third full-length effort, "Define the Great Line" which sold 98,000 copies in its first week. The Dixie Chicks' "Taking the Long Way" slips from No. 2 to No. 3 with 87,000 units, and Keane's second Interscope album, "Under the Iron Sea," moved 75,000 copies in its first week to open at No. 4.
