Miguel Bose's Most Ambitious Album

To celebrate 30 years enrollment as a singer, Spanish singer Miguel Bose released an album titled "Papito". In a large-scale, Bose tapped several artists such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Julieta Venegas, and even R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe to record duets with him.
The album that contains the remakes of his previous songs has been released in Spain and America last month. It peaked at #6 in Billboard's Latin chart and still continues ruling the top 20. Stipe who stood out among the Latinos assisted Bose in the song "Lo que hay es lo que ves".

Colombian bombshell Shakira dominated the 7th annual Latin Grammy Awards Thursday night Nov 2nd as she won a leading four trophies out of five nominations. She among other won the categories of Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year both for "La Tortura", plus Album Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Album both for "Fijación Oral, Vol. 1".
The reggaeton group Calle 13 was another multiple winner at the awards event, earned the awards for Best New Artist, Best Urban Music Album for their eponymous album, and Best Short Form Music Video for "ˇAtrévete Te, Te!". Another multiple winner included Argentine rocker Gustavo Cerati, who won the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album category for "Ahi Vamos" and Best Rock Song for "Crimen".

A crowd of some 10,000 packed the Palacio de los Deportes Thursday night Oct 19th for the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America. Those handful people saw the winning of successful Mexican singer and songwriter Julieta Venegas who took home the Best Performer award.
The Grammy winning singer was actually nominated for five other categories, including Best Video, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year among others. Unfortunately she only won one. Aside, Colombian rock singer-songwriter Juanes won the Best Artist-Central award. Also there was the likes of Robbie Williams who nabbed the Best Pop International award, and My Chemical Romance who was handed the Best Rock International award.

Colombian pop sensation Shakira leads the nomination list for the seventh annual installment of Latin Grammy Awards with six nods. The songbird is among others nominated for the categories of Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Short Form Music Video, all for "La Tortura".
She, additionally, also vies for Album Of The Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Album, and Best Short Form Music Video categories for "Fijación Oral, Vol. 1". Following close behind with four nominations are Guatemalan popster Ricardo Arjona, Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas and Argentinian guitarist and vocalist Gustavo Cerati.
