'24: Redemption' Hit New York for Premiere
November 20, 2008 02:11:02Taking the stroll on the red carpet rolled down in front of New York City's AMC Theaters Empire was Keifer Sutherland who was there to promote his TV movie "24: Redemption". Kiefer, was joined at the November 19 event by the movie's other cast such as Cherry Jones, Jon Voight, and Robert Carlyle among others.
"24: Redemption" is a two-hour movie that will hit the small screen on Sunday, November 23 via FOX. It was created based on the popular series "24" in anticipation of the long break between "24" sixth to seventh season, that was caused by the writer's strike. It serves as a prequel that correlates between seasons six and seven, set in Southern Africa where Jack finds himself caught up in a military coup.
Red Carpet Treatment for New York Premiere of 'Pride and Glory'
October 16, 2008 03:10:21On Wednesday, October 15, the New York premiere of "Pride and Glory" has been held at AMC Lowes Lincoln Square 13. Attended by most of its cast ensemble, the red carpet event saw lead actors Edward Norton, Jon Voight, Colin Farrell and Noah Emmerich coming in to join the celebration.
Other than those lead, cast members Lake Bell, Jennifer Ehle, Manny Perez, Frank Grillo, John Ortiz and Shea Whigham were also spotted on the evening. Joining the film's stars at the premiere were director Gavin O'Connor and President of Warner Bros. Alan Horn, while celebrity guests included former "American Idol" contestant Ace Young and model Lydia Hearst.

Still, opposite to what has been suggested previously, veteran actor Jon Voight would not return as U.S. Secretary of Defense John Keller in the second movie.
Revealing the truth on the casting part, the father of actress Angelina Jolie confirmed his exclusion through an interview with Collider at the 34th Annual Saturn Awards on Tuesday, June 24. On the occasion, he confessed that though he was surprised with the success of the first movie, he is not coming back to work on the sequel instead he is going to portray the newest foe for Jack Bauer in the next season of television series "24".

Reconciliation is on its way for the father-daughter. Angelina Jolie has, in an interview with the U.K.'s Evening Standard newspaper, revealed her willingness to reconcile with her much-estranged father, actor Jon Voight.
"I am hoping my relationship with my father will be more private in the future," Jolie told the newspaper. "At the end of the day we both wish the best for each other and we'll try to start communicating in some way."

While director Michael Bay's upcoming "Transformers" won't be opening in theaters worldwide until July 4th, it will first of all get an LA Film Fest treatment. The action adventure and science fiction film will hold its Los Angeles premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 27th.
The DreamWorks/Paramount release will screen simultaneously at The Landmark Regent, the Mann National, the Mann Bruin and the Mann Village, where the main premiere will take place. There will be 4,000 seats available for the film's stars and public.

Taking surprising turn in his prolific acting career, Jon Voight has given his agreement to have a starring part in "Bratz: The Movie", a live-action adaptation of the popular fashion doll line of Crystal Sky Pictures and MGA Entertainment production in association with Avi Arad Productions.
Set to hit theaters on August 10 this year through Lionsgate Films, the flick finds Logan Browning, Janel Parrish, Skyler Shaye, and Nathalia Ramos as Sasha, Jade, Cloe, and Yasmin, respectively, who bond together over the ups and downs of adolescent life at Carry Nation High. Voight will portray the domineering principal whose daughter Meredith, played by Chelsea Staub, is responsible for the pressures of disparate cliques at the school.
