September 08, 2009 02:09:00Jennifer Lopez reportedly has entered recording room with Johnta Austin in a bid to make new music for her upcoming studio album. Spilling the beans on that matter is music producer Alex Da Kid on his Twitter.
"Alex Da Kid + Jennifer Lopez + Johnta Austin = ????? She Went in on these Vocals Yo!" so Alex wrote on his page. Other info about the song, including its title and when it will come out, are still under tight wraps.
Albums That Supposed to Out This Year But Failed So
December 19, 2007 09:12:21Coming to the end of the year, we will do an update of the albums which have been pushed back several times and those which release dates are still a big question mark.
First one is Johnta Austin's 'Ocean Drive' which was supposed to be released in September. The debut album from the producer-turned-singer was stated on his MySpace to be released in Fall 2007 but it looks like that the time frame will not likely happen and the latest announced date (February 6) is not yet confirmed either due to his transfer from Virgin to Island Def Jam.

Johnta Austin has penned Grammy winning song for Mary J. Blige and is even trusted to “save” Whitney Houston's music career. The producer and songwriter is now demanding the spotlight to shine on him through the release of “Ocean Drive”.
A debut record for him, Austin has worked on this one for a long time. The album that was originally scheduled for last year is said to have the “timeless” factor. “When you think of Miami's Ocean Drive, you think elegance, you think classy, sexy, fresh-all the things we feel this album is", said Austin. "We tried to create an album that is timeless."

In the event that appreciates the work of songwriters, Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin, Kelly Clarkson and Mary J. Blige came out the big champs. Namely ASCAP Pop Music Awards, the event honors musicians for their songwriting contribution to the music industry.
The event that was held April 19 saluted the joint Austin and Dupri with Songwriter of the Year title, thanks to their winning piece "Don't Forget About Us," "Like You," "Shake It Off" and "We Belong Together." Austin personally gained J. Blige-sung "Be Without You" and Chris Brown's hit "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" while Dupri won for Nelly's "Grillz" and Chingy's "Pullin' Me Back".

August 29th later this year will become a big day for Jessica Simpson as the actress-singer will have her new album hit the market. Tentatively titled "A Public Affair", the set is the follow up to the star's 2003 "In This Skin," which has sold more than 2.9 million copies in the United States.
Nevertheless, the release of the set will be preceded by the single of the same name that will premiere July 19 on MTV's "TRL." The single was co-written by Simpson and Johnta Austin, while the accompanying video was shot over the weekend by director Brett Ratner. It, moreover, includes appearances by Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Ryan Seacrest, Christina Milian, Andy Dick and Maria Menounos.

50 Cent was just one among the many top honorees at the 23rd Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards celebration held Monday May 22nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Hosted by ASCAP President & Chairman, Marilyn Bergman, the event was attended by more than 700 leading songwriters, recording artists and music industry leaders.
As of Fiddy, the rapper was named Songwriter of the Year thanks to his contributions to five award-winning songs in 2005, like "Candy Shop" and "Disco Inferno" to name some. Meanwhile, Song of the Year award resulted in a tie between Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "We Belong Together," written by Johnta Austin, Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal.
