Jerry O'Connell to Write Parenting Book
October 29, 2009 12:10:57Actor Jerry O'Connell can soon add author to his resume as he reportedly plans to write a parenting book. According to GalleyCat, the father of twin daughters has sold his memoir to Ballantine editorial director of non-fiction Luke Dempsey and is having the deal being negotiated by Richard Abate at 3Arts.
The book is said to be titled "Cry, Feed, (Make Love to Wife), Burp". It will tell Jerry's life "as a very 21st century father in a land of celebrity, the sterile California suburbs, and two-for-one diaper changing -- everything from the moment he was told it was time for him to be a father, through the trials and tribulations of conception and childbirth, to the joys and disasters and joys again of staying home to raise two new babies."

During the talk show, the actor jokingly told co-host Kelly Ripa, "I don't want to be one of those guys who is like, 'Look at my babies.' The second you have kids, you can't help but be like, 'I happen to have some photos of my children.'"
During the taping of the show, Jerry also praised his actress wife Rebecca Romijn for becoming a hand on mother for the twin girls. "I have to give a lot of kudos to my wife," he said. "[She] is now waking up every three hours and doing what we call the 'Double Football'. They eat at the same time!"

Dolly and Charlie are the couple's firstborns. Charlie in particular is named after Jerry's brother Charlie O'Connell who said to People that the naming is going to help him earn more "credit". Older Charlie recalled the moment he saw the babies for the first time, saying "to see the baby and have Charlie meet Charlie was a real special moment."
