'Nine' Dominates 14th Satellite Awards Movie Nominations
November 30, 2009 02:11:32The nominations for 2009 Satellite Awards have been announced by International Press Academy on Sunday, November 29. Based on the list, "Nine" has the possibility to become a big winner as it grabbed 11 nods, including Best Motion Picture in Comedy or Musical.
The movie also aided Marion Cotillard, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Penelope Cruz to be among the nominees for Best Comedy or Musical Actress, Best Comedy or Musical Actor, and Best Supporting Actress respectively. Moreover, the star-studded film has won the award for Best Ensemble.
'The Men Who Stare at Goats': Profiling The Master and The Colonel
October 29, 2009 02:10:09Overture Films has just released two new character profile videos for "The Men Who Stare at Goats". One comes out via Yahoo! Movies and takes the focus on George Clooney's The Master character, Lyn Cassady. The other one, in the meantime, is found on YouTube and highlights on Jeff Bridges' The Colonel character, Bill Django.
In this forthcoming comedy, reporter Bob Wilton is looking for his next big story when he meets Lyn Cassady, a special forces agent who claims to be a part of New Earth Army, a classified government program whose goal is to use paranormal powers to end war. Determined to prove the truth of Cassady's claim, he joins the military man in his mission to find the program's founder Bill Django.
Jeff Bridges Backing Up "Iron Man"

A superhero flick filled with Academy Award-recognized stars, that's "Iron Man." Following the inclusion of Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, and Gwyneth Paltrow, the project has satisfyingly signed another Oscar-nominated actor Jeff Bridges to the cast lineup, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Here Bridges will play a close business associate of Iron Man's alter ego Tony Stark, played by Downey, who also plays a major role in shaping the younger man's life. Meanwhile, Howard has already been billed as Jim Rhodes, a pilot and friend of Stark, and Paltrow as Stark's personal secretary Virginia "Pepper" Potts.
