October 24, 2009 10:10:51After being absent from honoring musicians in 2008, Soul Train Music Awards comes back this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Motown Records. Nominations for the upcoming event have been announced, revealing that Beyonce Knowles, Maxwell and Keri Hilson lead the pack with four nods each.
The three of them compete against each other in Song of the Year and Record of the Year. In addition, both Beyonce and Maxwell are also up for Album of the Year. Beyonce and Maxwell get their fourth kudos in Best Female and Male R&B/Soul Artist respectively. As for Keri, she receives her two other nominations in Best New Artist and Best Collaboration.

June 29, 2009 01:06:182009 BET Awards has been wrapped, and it is revealed that Beyonce Knowles led its winners list with two nods. She received her first award in Best Female R&B Artist category, beating Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, Jennifer Hudson and Jazmine Sullivan.
Then, Beyonce added another trophy with Video of the Year prize, thanks to her "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" music video. During her acceptance speech when collecting this award, she thanked Michael Jackson.
Ace Hood's 'Champion' Music Video Feat. Jazmine Sullivan
June 23, 2009 02:06:10Ace Hood has put out a music video which is filmed in Overtown to support his new single "Champion". He and his collaborator Jazmine Sullivan are seen singing to the song in a two stories rowhomes.
Beside featuring Jazmine Sullivan, "Champion" also has Rick Ross lending his vocal on the hook. The song produced by The Runners and Carvin & Ivan is scheduled to be inlcuded in Ace's sophomore set "Ruthless" which will be dropped in America on June 30. Other big stars who will collaborate with Ace in the new effort include Ludacris, Akon, T-Pain, The-Dream and Lloyd.
2009 BET Awards Nominations Revealed, Lil Wayne and T.I. Lead the Pack
May 13, 2009 09:05:42Nomination recipients for this year's BET Awards have been announced at "106 & Park" on May 12, and grabbing the most nods were rappers Lil Wayne and T.I.. The two musicians received five nominations each.
Among the five gongs, Weezy and T.I. are set to face off against each other in two fields, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Viewer's Choice. In those categories, they are joined by such contenders as Rick Ross, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Beyonce Knowles, Keri Hilson, Soulja Boy, Rihanna and T-Pain.

Starting with a message saying, "Passion makes the world go round, love just makes it a safer place", the black-and-white video captures a dilemma a girl faces when she has to choose between two guys.
Insisting that she wants to deal with it alone, the girl finds it hard to tell a man she used to love that she has a crush on another man and has to leave at once so that he can move on with his life. When things are over, time moves backward, narrating the time she first met the guy she is in love now and how the relationship is built behind her ex-lover's back.

"Packing on my shhhh/and I'm going real far/going off the Hollywood to be a big star," Jazmine's handwriting read as the letters on the book appear on screen matching with the song's lyrics. Then, scenes capturing her in studio crafting songs and on stage performing in front of enthusiastic audience take over.

It shows her performing in the middle of a gray-colored town, which eventually turns to be colorful. First, bright yellow color is seen spreading on the street, meeting with blue color in intersection, where a couple is having a fight.
"Lions, Tigers & Bears" is a song penned by Salaam Remi, who previously co-wrote and co-produced Leona Lewis' single "Forgiveness". The track has been released since November 2008 as the third single off Jazmine's debut album "Fearless".
