The Academy Award-winning actress took time out of her hectic filming schedule, turning a volunteer teacher for a day for children at a school in New Orleans, Louisiana recently.
Spent time with the at-risk youth of New Orleans at the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School, Reese helped the kids with their assignments, read a story to the class, and posed for photographs with the kids. The mother of two is having her trip being filmed for an upcoming American Idol charity special Idol Gives Back.

Fellow Hollywood celebrities who attended the hunk's birthday bash held at West Village hot spot Socialista back on February 7 have all been urged to get a Hepatitis A vaccination after a bartender was found to be infected.
The New York City Department of Health issued an alert Thursday, February 21, urging the A-list stars attended Ashton's 30th birthday party at the hot spot and everyone who was there on certain nights to get vaccinated as a precaution. The alert was issued because, according to the agency, a bartender who was working at Socialista in between Feb. 7, as well as Feb. 8 and 11, was infected with the disease.

Seems big collaboration between two big Hollywood names is going to be something that we will often watch in the future. After the teaming up of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in "Righteous Kill", reports are now circulating heavily that Leonardo DiCaprio and Vinnie Jones will join forces in a historical epic feature entitled "Freedom Within the Heart."
In the project, set 1,000 years ago, DiCaprio reportedly has been billed as Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland, while Jones his nemesis, Ivor of Limerick. Story is said to put focus on the king, who united the country in battle against a Viking threat.

An important detail is coming up from glam metal band Poison's newest album "Poison'd!". The album that offers a selection of classic rock tune covers has revealed its heavily anticipated tracklisting. The 13 tracks are ranging from David Bowie's "Suffragete City" up to Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band".
On January 3, the band posted on their official My Space page that they need the help from fans to pick songs for the album. Some suggested the band covering Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird," Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," and AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long". None of the songs was included in the record along with the obvious suggestion of Alice Cooper's "Poison." The band however kept Sweet and Alice Cooper in mind and decided to do their other songs.

After announcing the names of honorees, VH1 Rock Honors gives away the list of performers on the May 12 night. The second year will feature Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains, Nickelback, Keane and also Gretchen Wilson as the tribute artists.

The actress-actor are now working together on a film about slain U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl, donated $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation on Tuesday Oct 10th, which would have been the late Wall Street Journal reporter's 43rd birthday.
"On this day our thoughts go out to Danny's family," Jolie and Pitt said in a statement released through their political advisor. "The Daniel Pearl Foundation is celebrating this day, his birthday, with music festivals around the world. The festivals are a great reminder of not just Danny's work as a journalist but of his life and his love of music."

The likes of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are among numbers of musicians slated to join Keith Urban, The Black Crowes, Big & Rich and Nickelback to headline the "Rock'n the Rally" music festival at South Dakota's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

With the help of friends and guests, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are ready to hit the road, plan to kick off a summer North American tour June 9 in Charlotte, N.C. The first eight shows of the trek will be opened by former Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio before then followed by six double-bills with Pearl Jam through July 2-3 in Denver.

The music act has planned to return to the road June 23 in Pittsburgh with fourteen dates are set for the second leg through a July 22 show at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash.
The latter gig reportedly will be "an evening with" Pearl Jam and thus won't feature an opening act. However, fans will be treated with performance from Sonic Youth who is slated to support on all but the first two second leg shows, which will boast a performance by former Guided By Voices frontman Robert Pollard.
