Isaac Hanson and Wife Welcomed Second Son
July 11, 2008 12:07:47The Hansons are having their clan expands. Isaac Hanson, the oldest of the pop rock band Hanson, is a father for the second time. The singer and his wife Nicole "Nikki" Dufresne celebrated the birth of their second child, a baby boy, in the family's hometown of Tulsa.
The newborn infant, named James Monroe Hanson, was born on July 1 and weighed in at 8 lbs., 11 oz. He will simply be called Monroe.

May 30, 2008 11:05:07The Hansons are expanding their clan. The younger member of pop trio Hanson, Zac Hanson, has become a father for the first time. He and his model wife Kathryn Tucker welcomed their first child, son John Ira Shepherd Hanson, Tuesday, May 27 in Tulsa, Okla.
The baby weighed in at 8 lbs, 4 oz. Per People, he will go by the name Shepherd.
Hanson Working on New Album Based on Experience
March 12, 2008 11:03:23Rock band Hanson have revealed that they are working on their new album, the follow up to the 2007 "The Walk". The three brothers are still pretty much inspired by their charity venture to Africa last year, which was also the mastermind behind "The Walk", and are planning similar approach on their new set.
The band visited the poverty-stricken areas in South Africa and Mozambique to help raising awareness on AIDS, give out proper shoes for the kids, and also donated proceeds from the sales of single "Great Divide" to AIDS treatment and research. The experience has somehow settled in that it drove them to lean on more serious things for their music.

January 12, 2008 09:01:44It has been sometime since Hanson began their charity mission to fight AIDS and poverty in Africa and their long story has been documented in a series of webisodes posted on YouTube. The first chapter has just been brought up, showing them personally "fit shoes" to African children.
The rock band had, last year, successfully garnered the partnership of TOMS Shoes to provide descent shoes for African children. Their fall 2007 tour to support their album 'The Walk' was also conducted in part of the charity mission whereby TOMS Shoes were sold on each show. For every one purchased pair of shoes, TOMS donates another pair for the good cause.
Update on Isaac Hanson's Latest Condition

Following his hospitalization on Tuesday night October 2nd, Isaac Hanson underwent "life-saving" surgery Thursday October 4th and is expected to make full recovery anytime soon that he could perform with band Hanson by next week.
"The life-saving surgery was performed by Dr. Bradley Grimsley, who was extremely satisfied with the results and expects Isaac to make a full and swift recovery," the band's rep, Ken Phillips, tells People.

American pop rock band Hanson was forced to cancel their Wednesday night's October 3rd homecoming show, supposedly held at Cain's Ballroom, after the eldest of the family trio, Isaac Hanson, was hospitalized.
Tulsa World is the first to make public the report, wrote that Isaac was receiving treatment at an area hospital earlier that day for an undetermined ailment.
Hanson Touring for 'The Walk'

Hanson will finally bring their fourth album 'The Walk' to the streets. The brothers are jumping on a tour in North America that will start August 7 in Los Angeles, C.A.
First two L.A. dates within the tour have been sold out, leaving September 12 date in Verona, N.Y. to be the next available concert. In the middle of the tour, the three-piece band will visit their hometown Tulsa, O.K. on October 6. The set is currently scheduled up to October 16 in Atlanta, G.A. but more dates are waiting to be announced in near future.

In mid marketing competition against other bands, Hanson set up a unique method to promote their latest album "The Walk". The Oklahoma based band wants fans to help them "spread the word" by attaching promotional banner on personal websites.
This marketing method is part of the competition where a song specially written for the winner will be the Grand Prize. Basically those registered to Hanson.com will receive a selection of banners that can be attached to personal sites like MySpace, blogs or live journal. Contestants are free to design the page and those whose designs receive lots of "clicks" will stand greater chance to win.
Sibling Trio Hanson Take A "Walk" on May 22nd, 2007

Fans of Hanson will be treated with a new album from the sibling trio as they are planning to have their latest LP, "The Walk", released on May 22 through their own 3CG label. That's not all, the trio will also have an accompanying "making-of" video podcast, dubbed "Taking the Walk."
"The Walk," which is Hanson's sixth studio album, will be available in increments, before the end of this month via the band's Web site (http://www.hanson.net) and iTunes. Greater than that, music goers also have the chance to download the set's first single, "Great Divide," in November when it was released to iTunes in an effort to raise money for AIDS/HIV hospitals in South Africa.

Isaac Hanson, the oldest member of music group Hanson, married his longtime girlfriend, Nicole duFresne, on Saturday September 30th, 2006 in Oklahoma.
Isaac, 25, and Nicole, 22, tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Hanson's hometown of Tulsa.

Taylor Hanson, the middle brother in the band Hanson, is doing daddyhood again. The singer and his wife, Natalie, welcomed the arrival of their third child Monday September 4th, the band announced on its official Web site.
The new addition to the family, a baby boy, was born in Tulsa, Okla and named River Samuel Hanson. "River is an incredible addition to our family. We could not be happier!" Taylor said on his newborn son.
