July 24, 2008 10:07:16Musical duo Gnarls Barkley have just premiered a new music video on July 23 through MTV. The clip which, was directed by renown director Chris Milk, was made to accompany the group's latest single "Who's Gonna Save My Soul".
The clip starts with the scene of two people talking seriously in a diner. The man then stabs his heart and takes it out only to let it speaks by itself. The duo only appear towards the end of the video with them portraying the cook of the diner.

The new song is the second single that has been released from "The Odd Couple" after Gnarls previously dropped "Run" on February 5, as the first single. Meanwhile, the album was released digitally on March 18 and hit the stores on March 25.

Apt to its reverse concept, the set is titled "elpuoC ddO ehT", packed in one track clocking in 38 minutes and 45 seconds and available for free download.
"elpuoC ddO ehT" is the backwards version of all the original tracks in the album that was released last month. When played, the album starts with the last track, which is "A Little Better". The backwards album is available for free download in the duo's special site, FronttoBacktoFront.com.

The first music video out of the duo's new album "The Odd Couple" may have hit the channels and circulated over the sites, but it has been confirmed that it needs some reconstruction in order to be run on MTV.
The clip that was previously denied as having failed Harding Test, will be kept out of rotation on the music channel because it has a strobe effects that can set off seizures on the minute two and above. The duo hope that they will rework on the particular frame and have it released normally on MTV.

The duo are still determining which of the two songs they previewed at RollingStone.com will be made the lead single of the album which is tentatively titled 'Atlantis'.
The two songs have been said to have different sound with one leaning on funky rhythm and the other on "fierce ballad". Gnarls reportedly favored more on the latter which has the lyrics "Who's gonna save my soul now? / I know I'm out of control" and been confirmed by Billboard.com to have made the cut.

The reason for the delay is the hectic schedule that one of the duo has. Danger Mouse, real name Brian Burton, won't be able to promote the album this year because he's busy with his new supergroup, Underground Animals. The new project will release an album before the end of this year, thus will consume Mouse's time this year.
