Kanye West Leads 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominations With Nine
September 19, 2009 10:09:55Nominees for this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards have been announced on Wednesday evening, September 16 on 106 & PARK. Leading the pack is nowadays most talked music star Kanye West who collected nine nominations in total.
West, who drew criticism after interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at 2009 MTV VMAs over the weekend, picked up nominations for Best Hip-Hop Collaboration, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Producer of the Year, CD of the Year, MVP of the Year, Hustler of the Year, the Made-You-Look Award (for style) and People's Champ. He was followed closely behind by fellow performers Lil Wayne and Jay-Z, who earned seven nods each. The third biggest nominee was T.I. with six nominations.
Fabolous' 'Loso's Way' Tops Billboard Hot 200
August 06, 2009 10:08:06Returning with new album "Loso's Way" in 2009, Fabolous reigns Billboard Hot 200 for the first time. With this record which was dropped across U.S. on July 28, the rapper has sold more than 99,000 copies.
Two years ago, Fabolous managed to climb to the second spot of the U.S. albums chart with his set "From Nothin' to Somethin'". At that time, he garnered around 159,000 units within the album's first week on sale.
Fabolous' 'Everything, Everyday, Everywhere' Music Video
July 29, 2009 01:07:02Fabolous is seen hitting the club with his collaborator Keri Hilson in the music video for his single "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere (Your Baby)". Beside having Keri on his side, he also brings in several fellow performers, including Rick Ross, Trey Songz, Ryan Leslie and Ace Hood, in this video.
Fabolous lists "Everything, Everyday, Everywhere (Your Baby)" in his fifth studio album "Loso's Way" which has been in U.S. market since July 28. One day before the effort arrived in stores, the Hip-Hop artist threw a party at Manhattan night spot Griffin to celebrate the album's release. He was joined by Wale and Nina Sky in addition to Keri Hilson and Ryan Leslie.
Fabolous Premieres 'My Time' and 'Throw It in the Bag' Music Videos
May 29, 2009 11:05:52Fabolous debuts two music videos, one is for "My Time" and the other is for "Throw It in the Bag". While the video for "My Time" has no cameo from Hollywood public figures, the "Throw It in the bag" features model Claudia Jordan as a guest star.
"My Time" video narrates Fabolous' journey from being a nobody in Brooklyn to becoming a famous rapper in New York City. As for the "Throw It in the Bag" video, it captures Claudia shoplifting in a store. Commenting on Claudia's character, the rapper says, "I'm kinda feelin' her. I'm feeling her integrity, I'm feeling her style, I'm feeling her going out and taking what she wants. By the end of the video, I'm kinda looking past her being this big thief, and maybe next time she throws things in the bag is because I'm buying it for her."

clothes from the store.
In addition to this sneak peek of "Throw It in the Bag" music video, a snippet of Fabolous' music video for another single called "It's My Time" has also come out. It shows the rapper staying all alone inside his house.

September 08, 2008 01:09:14One of Universal Records' singers, Ryan Leslie has just released a music video in an attempt to promote his second single "Addiction", in which he has teamed up with R&B singer Cassie and rapper Fabolous. The song, which is categorized as an R&B and soul song, appears in the singer's self-titled album, which is scheduled for release on September 26.
The music video for the song is directed by Diane Martel and, as Ryan says, talks about the beauty of simplicity. "I'm not wearing a tuxedo or even a suit in the clip. Director Diane Martel assured me that this one should be all about the beauty of simplicity," he says as posted on his MySpace page.
Fabolous Wants Britney Spears On Board His Concept LP
March 25, 2008 11:03:13Employing similar approach to Jay-Z's "American Gangster", New York rapper Fabolous is set to record a concept album that is inspired by a certain movie which title is not yet revealed. Should the recording goes smoothly, the album can be expected to hit the street in August this year with the first single taking impact as early as May.
"I'mma put a theme together and just go off of that theme," Fab told MTV. "Sometimes producers get lost trying to figure out what they think is the best type of sh** for Fab. (They say,) 'I got this commercial joint for you.' So what I'm doing now, I seen a movie I want to theme the album after. Even take certain lines, different scenes out of the movie and make music behind that. At the same time, I can have the producer check the movie out, and he'll have something he can take away from the movie and come back with some joints. I wanted to try that this time."
OneRepublic and Fabolous Make a Touring Team for Campuses
March 01, 2008 10:03:16Emerging with their huge hit "Apologize" that was produced by Timbaland, rock act OneRepublic are set to promote their album "Dreaming Out Loud" that was released in November last year. They will stop by in colleges in support of the debut effort, with rapper Fabolous alongside them.
The unlikely partnership will stop at college campuses in Spring in a tour dubbed "Crocs Next Step Campus Tour". It will start April 10 at Miami's Florida International University and wind down May 3 at Albany's SUNY Albany. Fabolous meanwhile, jumps on this tour to still support his June 2007 release, "From Nothin' to Somethin'".
Def Jam Compiles Unreleased Materials of Fabolous, Rihanna, Nas
November 30, 2007 09:11:11MTV.com has revealed that some unreleased materials from top Hip-Hop musicians such as Fabolous, Nas, Rihanna, Method Man, Bobby Valentino, Redman and Ne-Yo will be molded into one CD called 'Def Jam Sessions Vol. 1'.
The tracks come from songs that didn't make the cut to their recent albums. For Rihanna she spared the tracks 'Haunted' and 'Cry' from her 2007 album 'Good Girl Gone Bad' and as for Nas, he contributes 'The N...' and 'Where Y'All At', taken from 'Hip Hop Is Dead' sessions.
Fabolous' 'Baby Don't Go' Clip Premiered

Fabolous has released the music video of his single 'Baby Don't Go' on BET's 106&Park on September 12. Strange enough, the video only features Jermaine Dupri and has excluded T-Pain.
'Baby Don't Go' is a song that features T-Pain as credited in the album and Dupri as the producer. However, the video employs Dupri's version where he fills T-Pain's part. Both version, however, are released on the radio and have been picking up nicely.

Both rappers are about to compete in a basketball game as part of Dupri's annual So So Def Summer Fest 2007 which is about to take place this weekend July 21st at the Georgia State College Arena.
Fabolous Spilled "From Nothin' to Somethin'"

Rapper Fabolous who had "From Nothin' to Somethin'" since late 2006 gave its sneak peek at Sony Studios in Manhattan, New York on May 8. As promised, Fabolous presented the album in all-star mode.
The track "Brooklyn" received the guest voice from Jay-Z and Uncle Murda while "Baby Don't Go" had T-Pain on the bill. Young Jeezy gave his contribution in the first single "Diamonds" while R. Kelly appears on "Foggin' Up the Windows". Rihanna and Swizz Beatz meanwhile, assist on "First Time" and "Return of the Hustle" respectively.
Rapper Fabolous Has His New LP Released in December

Shortly after dominating media headlines this week concerning the shooting incident outside of Justin's restaurant in New York, Fabolous is again creating another abuzz. The rapper will have his new LP released earlier than it was previously scheduled.
The rapper's new effort, dubbed "From Nothing to Something", which was planned to hit stores February 2007 has for now on slated to marry the street on December 19th later this year. Greater than that, a single from the new album is said to be released even earlier.
US Rapper Fabolous Shot, Arrested in NYC

Famous US rapper Fabolous was shot early Tuesday Oct 17th as he waited for his entourage outside a restaurant in New York. The 28-year-old star had just left Justin's, a restaurant owned by P. Diddy, with three friends when a gunman approached and opened fire.
Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said Fabolous was hit in the thigh. He and his entourage jumped into a 2005 Dodge Magnum and fled, attracting the attention of police when they ran a red light. And when officers stopped them, they discovered two unlicensed loaded guns in the vehicle.
