August 26, 2008 02:08:26The forthcoming drama comedy movie "I Love You Phillip Morris" has exposed its first still and from the look of it, Jim Carrey is going to be seen sharing more than an attraction to Ewan McGregor. The brand new image displays the two actors leaning towards each other as they are about to lock lips.
In the movie, Carrey plays Steven Russell, a married father and a conman who is sent to prison in Texas. While spending his time there, he falls in love with his cellmate Phillip Morris portrayed by McGregor. After Morris is being released, Russell escapes from prison four times doing whatever he can like faking his own death only to meet his lover.

An actor who has had significant success in mainstream, indie and art house film, Ewan McGregor is giving hand to promote perfume. The hunk has signed a deal with Coty Inc. to front its latest male scent.
"Ewan McGregor is a natural choice. Not only is he one of the most talented actors of his generation, but he also has a charisma and an authenticity that will be very important for the new Davidoff fragrance," said Franoise Mariez of Coty Prestige in announcing their partnership Tuesday July 17th.

Ewan McGregor is in it for the art. The actor, who usually earns millions by making movies, has agreed to return to the London stage later this year, playing Shakespeare's arch villain Iago in ''Othello."
The "Star Wars" star reportedly will earn a mere $790 a week, which is the standard minimum wages for an actor in Britain. The Scottish star will appear opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor starring as Othello and Kelly Reilly as Desdemona.

Ewan McGregor is about to be immortalized in a special series of stamps for the US postal service.
The Scottish actor, commemorated for his Star Wars role, will be the new face on one of 15 special edition postal stamps, brought out to immortalize the series' 30th anniversary next month. In addition to the stamp, McGregor also appears on an express mail delivery sticker.

The beautiful duo from the upcoming "The Tourist" is back for more. Yes, Ewan McGregor and Michelle Williams have reportedly been picked up to topline "Incendiary", a contemporary drama about the emotional aftermath of a suicide bombing in London, with Matthew Macfadyen co-starring.
Based on a novel of the same name by British author Chris Cleave, the picture revolves around a woman whose world turns upside down after her husband and baby boy both are killed in a suicide bombing at a soccer match while she herself was cheating on him at the time. Billed as the devastated woman is Williams while McGregor and Macfayden will play the man whom she has an affair with and her deceased husband's former superintendent, respectively.

Following the buzz surrounding Courtney Love's plan to develop "Heavier than Heaven", a biographical feature about her deceased husband Kurt Cobain, what probably becomes the hot topic to talk about by now is seemingly the actor to play the Nirvana frontman.
A source for the Daily Express has informed that Ewan McGregor has come out as the top choice among other potential names to assume the role. What's interesting here is if McGregor truly lands the part, this won't be the first time the striking guy portrays a rock star as he had brilliantly done it before in "Velvet Goldmine."

Well, this could possibly be a great collaboration to watch for. Production Weekly has reported that Ewan McGregor has given his agreement to accompany Australian actor Hugh Jackman in thriller project "The Tourist." Here McGregor is billed to portray an accountant who becomes the primary suspect in a woman's disappearance also a 20 million dollar theft after being introduced by his new friend, played by Jackman, to a mysterious club called The List.
A 20th Century Fox production, "The Tourist" will mark the directorial debut of Swiss filmmaker Marcel Langenegger. Mark Bomback, Patrick Marber and Jason Keller are assigned to pen the scripts while Arnold Rifkin is set to produce. Production is slated to begin on October 9 in New York.

A rep for the actor told People magazine "I can confirm Ewan McGregor and his wife Eve Mavrakis have adopted the girl but cannot comment further". Aside from the adopted daughter, the husband-and-wife has had two biological daughters; Esther, 4, and Clara, 1.

Coming soon in theater, "Miss Potter". The Weinstein Company has acquired North American rights to the Beatrix Potter biopic from Phoenix Pictures and David Kirschner Productions.
