June 15, 2009 04:06:332009 Bonnaroo Music Festival has come to end on Sunday, June 14 with a live performance from rapper Snoop Dogg. Taking the main stage, he sported a black t-shirt and was joined by soul singer/songwriter Erykah Badu who wore a grey sweatshirt. The two teamed up on Snoop's 1993 song called "Lodi Dodi".
Right after Snoop finished his set, Phish entered the stage for their second live appearance after previously rocking the event on June 12. After several songs, lead vocalist/guitarist Trey Anastasio told the crowd, "We are having such a good time up here, it's impossible to describe with words."
Erykah Badu Reveals Newborn Baby's Name Via Twitter Page
February 04, 2009 02:02:44Giving birth to her third child earlier this week, Erykah Badu is quick to confirm in a post on her Twitter page that she and rapper boyfriend, Jay Electronica, name their newborn baby daughter Mars Merkaba. No explanation has been given on the reason behind the naming and the meaning of the baby's name.
Prior to unveiling the name of her baby girl, Erykah has written another post on Twitter, in which she claimed the infant's "eyes are looking right into mine . she struggles to focus." She also recounted, "so much love in her . i wonder where she just came from. i mean .. her spirit..."
Erykah Badu Gives Birth to Third Child, a Baby Daughter
February 03, 2009 09:02:05R 'n' B singer Erykah Badu has given birth to a baby daughter, her first child with rapper boyfriend Jay Electronica. Confirming the good news, a representative for her issued a statement to US Weekly, detailing, "Erykah gave birth to a baby girl at her home on February 1, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. The baby's father, [rapper] Jay Electronica, and her two children were in attendance."
Erykah delivered the baby at her Brooklyn, New York home with the help of a midwife. Through out the process of giving birth her daughter, she sent Twitter messages, announcing, "Morning, I'm in labor." Rubbing Erykah's feet Jay added, "Labor has begun. Everybody stand back. No hospitals. No doctors. No medicine. We're waiting for the midwife to show."

Despite the revelation and an obvious baby bump, Badu didn't reveal the identity of the baby's daddy. Meanwhile, rumors are buzzing that the father is her current boyfriend, rapper Jay Electronica. Offering no denial nor verification on the issue, the songbird also didn't mention how many months along she's been carrying the baby and her exact due date.

The R&B diva is slated to perform two hits from her latest album, "The Breakthrough," at the club Capricorn in the town of Llanview. The episode is set to air July 28.

Fans of R&B and hip-hop music should be delighted to watch "Block Party." Depicting the situation in rehearsals and backstage, this documentary about Dave Chappelle's dream concert features some of the most gifted and socially conscious hip-hop and R&B artists, among others Kanye West, Mos Def, John Legend, Talib Kweli, The Fugees, Erykah Badu, plus Big Daddy Kane. And all appear in his show held on a corner in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
"Block Party" begins with Chappelle goes around to offer some golden tickets to the party days before the show to random citizens and acquaintances which include a convenience-store owner and a couple of probation officers while also invites the Central State University marching band to join the musical lineup. Directed by Michel Gondry, the docu also shows the scenes in which he delivers a megaphone-amped party invitation to "the Huxtables" of "Cosby Show" fame and clowns with neighborhood kids as he passes through a street of Brooklyn townhouses.
