Led Zeppelin has topped the Q Magazine list of Greatest Guitar Tracks of All Time. Of all 20 songs listed, two of the rock band's hits "Black Dog" and "Dazed and Confused" are placed at no 1 and 2 respectively.
The list was chosen by the rock experts: Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones, The Police's Andy Summers, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Zeppelin's very own guitarist Jimmy Page.

Eric Clapton has made the year 2007 a productive one for music industry by gathering the world's most famous guitarists in a single concert. Those like B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Jeff Beck, John Mayer and many more will back him up in a concert on July 28.
Clapton has only one view to hold this mega concert. That is for the sake of Crossroad, a drug rehab he owns in Antigua. The clinic that he found 10 years ago will benefit from the Chicago concert. Though tapping the artists is part of the plan, Clapton opens up for some spontaneous collaboration. "Some of it's mapped and some of it isn't. We have to leave a little bit of it to chance," he said.

Eric Clapton has been forced to postpone his concert, scheduled for Saturday night September 23rd at The Palace of Auburn Hills, because of sore throat. On his condition it is said that "He is indeed under the weather with a sore throat".
While a rescheduled date for the show in suburban Detroit will be announced next week, no additional shows on Clapton's North American tour, which kicked off last weekend, are affected. At least that's what tour publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday.

American singer, guitarist, and composer Chuck Berry will have his DVD documentary "Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll" released as an exclusive DVD/CD version under Coffee merchant Starbucks.
"Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll" actually is Taylor Hackford's 1987 feature which revolves around an all-star concert marking Berry's 60th birthday the year before. The show held at the Fox Theater in Berry's St. Louis hometown, featured a house band led by Keith Richards, with such guests as Eric Clapton, Etta James, and Linda Ronstadt among others. Besides, it also shows interview section with the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Bo Diddley, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, and Bruce Springsteen.
Jerry Lee Lewis to Release "Redemption"

Got his fellow musicians to give contribution to his new album, Jerry Lee Lewis finally could have the set, tentatively titled "Redemption", released next September through Columbia Records.
The album, which is Lewis' first album in 11 years, was originally set for a February 2005 release via DreamWorks Nashville, which has since closed down.

On the wake of his September 2005 released album "Back Home," great musician Eric Clapton is back on the road. The renowned guitarist has planned to spend the late spring and early summer on an extensive tour of Europe.
Beginning the tour on May 5 in Le Cannet, France, Clapton will then continue visiting 13 countries through its July 31 conclusion in Helsinki. Supporting him on the run will be guitarists Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks, keyboardists Chris Stainton and Tim Carmon, bassist Willie Weeks, drummer Steve Jordan, the Kick Horns and vocalists Michelle John and Sharon White.
Legendary Rock Trio Cream Planned More Shows
February 08, 2006 01:02:52Has just finished their handful of concerts in London and New York following their last year reunion after a 1968 break up, rock trio Cream has just planned more shows. Bassist and singer Jack Bruce revealed the plan Tuesday Feb 7th.
Spoke more on the planned shows, Bruce said that he, guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker will set up camp in select cities for multiple dates, just as they did last year. So there won't be a world tour.
Marley's Never-Before-Released Singles Collection

The late singer apparently left a never-before-released song, believed to have been recorded in a Miami bedroom in 1979, which will be available on the upcoming compilation "Africa Unite: The Singles Collection."
The set, due November 8 via Island/Tuff Gong/UME, includes "Slogans," the master tape of which was discovered by Marley's sons Ziggy and Stephen in 2003. Also it will feature early recordings as well as Marley's biggest hits, which is rounded out by a new remix of the title track from the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am plus Ashley Beedle's mash-up of "Get Up, Stand Up" and Damian Marley's "Welcome to Jamrock."
$6.4 Million for Eric Clapton Autobiography

The British guitarist and composer finally decided to write an autobiography and sell it to Random House publisher for $6.4 million. Inside, he will reveal all, beginning from every aspect of his personal and musical odyssey to addressing everything that is known and much that is not.
In writing the as yet untitled autobiography, Clapton will collaborate with Christopher Simon Sykes, his close friend since 1967. The book later on will be published in spring 2007, by Century in the UK and Doubleday in the US, and as an audiobook, to coincide with the release by Warner Brothers of a complete retrospective boxed set of his recordings, but also with a major world tour.

One source said both the mum and the baby were okay, but Eric had not yet settle a name for his fifth children he got from all his third marriage after his first with ex-paramour Yvonne Kelly and his second one with Italian actress Lory Del Santo with whom Eric has one children from each. What a happy "young father" Eric is?!
