Boarding on the same vehicle, Emily Watson, Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, and Russell Brand are all poised to share scenes together in "St. Trinian's", a new big screen version of the classic British comedy franchise that spawned several popular movies in the 1950s and 1960s.
Produced under Ealing Studios banner, the project, which is originally inspired by Ronald Searle's books and cartoons, takes focus on the madcap adventures of a group of unruly girls who attend the eponymous boarding school. Watson will appear as a teacher who is the movie's central character while Everett will play double cross-dressing role of the headmistress and her unscrupulous brother and Brand the local small-time crook named Flash Harry, who helps the girls get into scrapes.

Those who seek for "Atonement" can next reach for it in U.S after U.K for Focus Features has obtained the theatrical rights to distribute the Working Title Films' production in the States. Planned to be released next year with Joe Wright at helm and Keira Knightley in the cast, the picture therefore is another feature getting under both Working Title and Focus' wings after "Pride and Prejudice" (2005), which was the first project Wright and Knightley worked together in.
Also starred by Vanessa Redgrave, Emily Watson, and James McAvoy, "Atonement" relies on Christopher Hampton to pen the scripts adapted from Ian McEwan's acclaimed novel of the same title.

Based on the Dick King Smith novel, "The Water Horse" tells the story of a lonely boy in Scotland (Etel) who finds a mysterious egg on the shore of a lake. When the egg hatches, what emerges is a "water horse," a mythical sea monster of Scottish legend.

Coming soon in theater, "Miss Potter". The Weinstein Company has acquired North American rights to the Beatrix Potter biopic from Phoenix Pictures and David Kirschner Productions.
The drama movie is in production in UK and stars the likes of Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor, and Emily Watson. In hand directing is Chris Noonan, while David Kirschner, Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer, Corey Sienega, and David Thwaites are all producing.
