Comic Con 2009: 'Dollhouse' Screens 'Epitaph One', Reveals Guest Stars
July 25, 2009 02:07:28"Dollhouse" was one of the most anticipated panels at San Diego Comic Con Friday, July 24 convention, particularly because the un-aired episode "Epitaph One" was screened in full. Creator Joss Whedon and star Eliza Dushku along with a couple of other cast were present to give their take on the so-called 13th episode and season 2.
"Epitaph One", which will go straight to DVD, takes place in the year 2019. A group of human heroes, including the character played by Felicia Day, comes across an abandoned Dollhouse and finds one of the Actives. The band is trying to figure out how Dollhouse affects the state of the world, only to discover a larger global scenario.

"Dollhouse", which was picked up by FOX despite being an underdog, will take advantage of the event to promote its second season. "Heroes", however, will pass on this event.
Joss Whedon will make his annual appearance at the event, as a rep to his TV series "Dollhouse". Its two-hour panel is scheduled on Friday, July 24, including a screening of the 13th episode "Epitaph One" which was not aired on TV and "a no-holds-barred Q and A about what they have planned for Season 2" by Whedon and star Eliza Dushku.
'Ghostbusters 3': Possible Casting for Female Members

Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex pointed out the possibility in its new article containing an interview with Dan Aykroyd, one of the original stars of the "Ghostbusters" series, about the upcoming project.
In the report, it was mentioned that Aykroyd named two actresses whom he thinks suitable for the roles, Alyssa Milano, who happens to lend her voice for the forthcoming "Ghostbusters" video game, and Eliza Dushku. "I think they're amazing," he further commented. "And I'm excited about the whole idea of getting this done."

While making an appearance on the Howard Stern Show on Sirius/XM Radio on Thursday morning, February 12, to promote her new television show "Dollhouse", the 28-year-old confessed that she would love to play Natalia Romanova a.k.a. Black Widow in the sequel.
"They're doing 'Iron Man 2,' and I'm so perfect for the Black Widow character, that they just need to get into it. They need to understand," the actress who also serves as producer and executive producer for "Dollhouse" campaigned for herself. "I just learned Russian because I had to play a Russian girl in 'Dollhouse.'" Before leaving the studio, she added, "Maybe we could all tell them. Let's get on a Black Widow 'Iron Man 2' campaign."

In a just released video, the series' creator Joss Whedon speaks his mind of what the TV project is all about.
In addition to Whedon, Dushku also opens up a bit about what it means for her to play the series' main character Echo, who is called "Active," a member of a highly illegal and underground group of individuals who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas. She calls her character in "Dollhouse" "perfect fit."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the beauty has signed on to star in a new indie feature titled "The Thacker Case", which is based on the real-life 1983 wrongful death case of Kevin Thacker.
Dushku is joining Gabriel Mann and John Savage in the cast and will portray a young attorney and the loyal assistant to Stuart Pepper, played by Mann, who handles the case. Meanwhile, story revolves around the mysterious death of repeat drunk driving offender Thacker and the discovery of his body in an alley behind the Marshalltown police department after his latest DUI arrest.

Set to board the same vehicle together, Eliza Dushku, Bill Pullman, Alan Rickman, Chris Pine, and Rachael Taylor are all poised to star in a dramatic feature telling about the birth of the Napa Valley wine industry, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Titled "Bottle Shock", pic is based on the true story of California's Chateau Montelena winery, which won an international wine-tasting competition and put the region on the vino map. Filming is due to begin August 1 this year in Napa and Sonoma under the direction of Randall Miller who will helm from the script originally penned by Ross Schwartz that he rewrote alongside Jody Savin.

Staying faithful to horror/thriller genre, Eliza Dushku is set to come up with another big screen project of this sort titled "The Alphabet Killer", which will reunite her with Rob Schmidt after their collaboration in "Wrong Turn."
Based on the real-life Alphabet Murders from Rochester, New York in the seventies, the flick will see Dushku play a police investigator named Megan who has to deal with her mental health as she attempts to solve a series of murders happening in her town.
