A source close to the couple broke their engagement to the publication, informing the weekly magazine the guitarist and songwriter proposed to her on August 4, 2008 while they were vacationing in Hawaii.
"They are happy, healthy, very much in love and looking forward to living life together forever," the source stated. "They are devoted to each other and to experiencing life in a whole new, positive and passionate way."
Further Dates Postponed in Van Halen's Reunion Tour
March 11, 2008 11:03:29As many as seventeen dates have now been postponed in Van Halen's reunion tour to give time for frontman Eddie Van Halen to go through "medical tests to define a course of treatment.". The rock band that have postponed a week's worth of concert earlier this month, will only be back on the stage the earliest on April 19 in Las Vegas
Those dates affected from the postponing include the show in Charlottesville, V.A. today (March 11) and a Madison Square Garden gig on March 17. Although no rescheduled dates have been announced, fans are being asked to keep their tickets, which will be honored at makeup dates or they can do a refund at the point of purchase.
Van Halen's Tour Not Canceled, Only Postponed
March 04, 2008 10:03:31Reports may have been published regarding Van Halen scrapping their reunion tour, but a new report on Billboard.com said that the news is actually not accurate. Frontman Eddie Van Halen may undergo medical tests but shows are merely postponed, not canceled.
The rock band announced a U.S. reunion tour back in January 2007 and have extended it to 2008 with dates stretched up to April 24. However, a statement was issued by the band's camp on Monday, March 3 that Eddie who has battled cancer and substance abuse "is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures." No other details have been released regarding Eddie's state of condition.
Judge Signed Off Eddie Van Halen's Divorce
December 22, 2007 09:12:10A Los Angeles judge has on Thursday, December 20 signed off the divorce between Eddie Van Halen and wife Valerie Bertinelli, thus made it official for both parties to enjoy their single status again after 25-years of marriage.
"The parties have resolved all their issues amicably in mediation," said the divorce documents. "Neither spouse shall take unfair advantage of the other spouse." Still according to the court papers, both Eddie and Valerie have already divided their assets and are devoted to raise their 16-years-old son, Wolfgang Van Halen.
'New' Van Halen Giving Only the Best in 25-Dates Tour

With the addition of Eddie Van Halen's 16-year-old son Wolfgang on bass, the veteran rockers of Van Halen are set to bring their set in new spirit and full throttle. As promised , the band announced a comeback that is brought on streets in a 25-dates tour with David Lee Roth fronting.
"This is not a reunion. This is a whole new band," Roth said. "It is totally blowing our minds and I think it will yours, too," guitarist Eddie Van Halen added. "It's better than it's ever been." The 'new' band has been rehearsing for the last four months and Roth said that the formation created sound that is "better than it has ever been".

It's tragic. Eddie Van Halen, rock guitarist of music group Van Halen, said Thursday March 8th he would enter rehab "to work on myself," just days before the music act will be honored at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City next week.
In a statement released by his rep, Eddie said "I would like Van Halen fans to know how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Without you there is no Van Halen. I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the that I feel I owe you and want to give you."
