Eagles Done Making Album Post 'Eden'
November 08, 2007 03:11:44Eagles have intended their latest album 'Long Road Out of Eden' to be a one time only. The reunited band will not make anymore albums after that although 'Eden' scored #1 in both U.K. and U.S.
"This is the final statement," drummer Don Henley told NME.com. "We got back together and went around the world twice on tour but then there was nothing left to do without new music. Now we have this album that fits in with our body of work. There won't be another Eagles album after this."
Eagles Hampered Britney Spears' Hope to Break Record
November 07, 2007 02:11:30A painful truth just hit Britney Spears and her team in Jive. Billboard has revised their chart policy today (November 7), allowing exclusive album titles that are only available through one retailer to be counted. Meaning Britney's much-hyped 'Blackout' won't debut at #1 this week.
In what came as a surprise, Eagles who released 'Long Road Out of Eden' exclusively through WalMart, SamsClub.com and the band's official site have sold 711,000 copies of the album according to SoundScan, ultimately gaining the #1 post. This is a hard number to beat considering Britney's 'Blackout' is counted to have sold 'only' 290,000 units.

Eagles Releasing First Album in 28 Years
August 01, 2007 11:08:22
Rock legend Eagles is only few months away from releasing their first studio album in almost three decades. Tentatively titling the album "The Long Road to Eden", the band has just finished the vocals and mixing. Guitarist Joe Walsh said, "We're all finally signing off on it."
What resulted in the five years of work is a new direction that Walsh described "hard to compare to anything that I hear out there now." All of the songs are said to be self-written by the band's present line-up (Walsh, Glenn Frey, Timothy B. Schmit, Don Henley) and Walsh in particular avoids ballad to go for rock'n'roll. "We need some stuff we can play live," he said, "so I made sure there was that element in the record."

Axl Rose Axes Eagles of Death Metal from Tour
November 29, 2006 04:11:38
An American garage rock band, Eagles of Death Metal doesn't fit best with the hugely popular Guns N' Roses, especially its frontman Axl Rose. It is sad to say that the hard rock singer has axed the music act as the opener for Guns' "Gunners' Chinese Democracy" tour.
EODM was originally slated to perform on stage for Guns N' Roses for three weeks. Unfortunately, the rock group received "not deafening boos, but lots of grumbling and grousing and indifference." That becomes one strong reason for Rose to exclude them from the list.
