Taylor Swift to Team Up With Def Leppard on CMT Crossroads
July 02, 2008 02:07:19Another cool collaboration between country and rock music is set to happen on the upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads as teen country star Taylor Swift is set to do a duet with Def Leppard on the series. The shooting for the series itself will be done in October for invitation guest, while the episode itself will be aired on November 8 on CMT.
Commenting about the collaboration plan, both musicians look very excited especially Swift as she revealed that playing with Def Leppard was her long time dream. "Every time I've seen Crossroads on CMT, I've always thought, 'If I ever get to do one of those, it HAS to be with Def Leppard!,' so this is really a dream come true for me," she said.
Def Leppard Found Date for 'Sparkle' Release
January 21, 2008 04:01:43Hard rock band Def Leppard have found the date to release their first album in six years. 'Songs from the Sparkle Lounge' will be dropped in stores on March 18 and will include a song that features country singer Tim McGraw on the track called 'Nine Lives'.
The news came from the band's official site that also mentioned that the date is tentative and may change anytime. They decided to announce the date because fans have been wondering for its release since they will begin a tour on March 27 but there was no news on the album itself.

Striking while the iron is hot, British band Def Leppard gears up the work of next album tentatively titled "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge". Only leaving one year gap from 2006's "Yeah!", the band won't come far from the "usual" sound.
Frontman Joe Elliott said, "I'm not gonna say it's radically different to anything we've ever done. There's classic Def Leppard. There's stuff that sounds like it's going back to the middle, late-'70s AC/DC and new wave-type sounding stuff."

Cheyenne Frontier Days this year will not only serve free pancakes but also a groundbreaking mixture of rock and country music. Def Leppard and Grammy award winning Bon Jovi have been slated to perform as part of the 10 days Western celebration.
Bon Jovi will open the first night on July 20 while Def Leppard performs on July 28.
