With curly hair signature and a huge reputation as High School Musical star, Corbin Bleu easily is the target of commercialism. The young star is made the first celebrity to design a customized channel on Disney.com called Disney XD. The online page highlights his selection of games, videos, music and of course, his debut album 'Another Side'. The album that was out on May 1, 2007 received wide exposures in media after the first single 'Push It to the Limit' successfully entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #14 in January 2007 and gained an approximate 77,000 digital downloads. The album itself peaked at #36 in Billboard 200.

If most people commonly associate Corbin to High School Musical, the singer, model, actor and dancer's career started way before that. Born on February 21, 1989 in Brooklyn, New York to parents who adore performing art, Corbin easily inherits the artistic blood that sent him jumping in the industry at an early age. Two-years-old Corbin stole the attention when his cute toddler face graced commercials like Bounty, Hasbro, Life breakfast cereal and Nabisco. Barely understanding the meaning of words, Corbin liked what he was doing that he joined Elite model agency at the age of four. From then on, his face became familiar on TVs, magazines, and even shopping spree catalogs. To enhance his career, Corbin engaged himself in jazz and ballet classes whereby he was not ashamed to sometimes be the only boy. Later on, he began playing his first theater production which required him no speech part. He stared as an abandoned homeless mute boy in an off Broadway production titled 'Tiny Tim is Dead'. Recognizing a diamond in the rough, his parents brought him to a larger city in 1996 whereby he would be able to stretch his wings and take his career to the next level.

In Los Angeles, his parents were proven right when he quickly tied deals with several TV series. His first guest appearance on TV was as a Little Boy in award winning series 'ER'. From then on, he collected several small roles in both TV series and big screen movies such as 'Family Tree', 'Mystery Men' and 'Galaxy Quest'. Beside doing his movies, he registered himself to the prestigious dancing school named Debbie Allen Dance Academy while juggling his role as the freshman of Los Angeles County High School of Arts. His decision to take theater major in the high school brought an even broader knowledge to his already fulfilling resume. He strengthened his acting career by sealing a role in 'Catch That Kid', a movie that marked his transition to a teenager actor. Meanwhile, the brunette also tasted the thrill of theater performance by joining his school's musical productions such as 'Footloose' and 'Grease'. Though not recurring the main roles, he was awarded the school's Theater Student of the Year, an honor that further approved his career choice.

From those musical roles, Corbin started to make his voice more recognizable. In the Discovery Disney series 'Flight 29 Down', he was required to record a song which helped him to savor the studio recording experience. The big break came in summer 2005 when he was cast as Chad Danford in Disney Channel's highly commercial TV movie 'High School Musical'. Immediately after this film hit the screen, all of the cast including Corbin were shot to fame. The film was recorded as Disney's highest rated program by moving 8.2 million of viewers in its debut. As soon as he graduated from high school, Corbin's days were ticking faster. He toured with fellow 'High School' stars throughout November 2006 to January 2007 in a successful jaunt dubbed 'High School Musical: The Concert' that amazingly went sold out in each city. For the next role, Corbin landed the choice to another TV film titled 'Jump In!' (2007). In this one, he became the main character playing a young boxer named Izzy Daniels who was convinced to rope jumping by a girl named Mary played by Keke Palmer. In the same year, he reprized the role as Chad in 'High School Musical 2' and as Nathan in 'Flight 29 Down: The Movie'.

Acting aside, Corbin also promoted debut album 'Another Side' in 2007, a record that boast his writing talent with five out of the 12 tracks being self-written. Taking 'Push It to the Limit' as the first single, he followed it up smoothly with 'Deal With It' and 'She Could Be' while securing more screen roles. In the same year, producers of High School Musical decided to make the third installment of the highly-commercial series. With most of the original cast on board, Bleu is slated to reprise his role in the TV movie-turned-big screen that will be released in 2008. While his role in it is still a question mark, Bleu confirmed an involvement in motocross action-drama titled 'Free Style', starring alongside Penelope Ann Miller.
