Chow Yun-Fat to Star in Dragon Ball Z
December 19, 2007 03:12:59The cast of "Dragonball" started to unveil one by one. After Emmy Rossum was announced as one of cast member earlier this week on December 16, Hollywood Reporter reported that Chow Yun-Fat will be the latest star addition to the action fantasy movie's cast.
In the movie, Fat will star as Master Roshi. His character is known as Goku's mentor. He is the one who help the lead character in achieving the highest state of fighting and spiritual powers.
Chow Yun-Fat's "Worlds End" Scenes Suffer China's Cut

Considered to present negative views of the Chinese, scenes featuring Chow Yun-Fat as pirate lord Captain Sao Feng in "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" have been cut by the censor board in China, the main state news agency Xinhua revealed Friday, June 15.
Half of the Chow scenes got reported to have been sliced for what the agency calls "vilifying and defacing the Chinese." Among those slashed were said to be the actor's recitation of a poem in Cantonese and a shot in which he says "Welcome to Singapore", thereby making his appearance in the movie only about ten minutes from a total twenty minutes shown.

Coming to its twentieth six celebration of Hong Kong Film Awards, set to be held on April 15 this year, Hong Kong Film Awards Association (HKFAA) has delightfully unveiled the list of titles and names nominated for this most prestigious film awards in the region.
Becoming the most nominated one is epic feature "Curse of the Golden Flower" as it fantastically scooped up fourteen nominations in total, notably the top prize of Best Film and Best Director for Zhang Yimou, followed by "Fearless" and "The Banquet" with seven nods each.

Constructing a great line-up of cast, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Radha Mitchell, Chow Yun-Fat, and Michelle Yeoh are set to share scenes together in a period drama titled "The Children of Huang Shi", Production Weekly has reported.
Based on true events, the movie, set in war-ravaged China during the late 1930s, focuses on a young British journalist named Gregg Hogg who leads a group of orphaned children on a 1000-mile journey in his effort to save them.
