'Where the Wild Things Are' Glams Up for N.Y. Premiere
October 14, 2009 03:10:16"Where the Wild Things Are" is literally days away from its theatrical debut, and to celebrate that the Big Apple has played host to its premiere. On Tuesday, October 13, red carpet was rolled out to greet cast, crew and celebrity guests coming to the special screening event which took place at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center.
Spotted walking down the red carpet on the special evening among others was the movie's leading actor Max Records. He arrived in companion of author Maurice Sendak and director Spike Jonze. His co-stars, Forest Whitaker, Catherine Keener, Lauren Ambrose and Catherine O'Hara, were present as well.
'The Soloist' Went to L.A. for Premiere
April 21, 2009 01:04:01A week short of its theatrical debut, "The Soloist" has gone to Los Angeles for a premiere. The special screening event took place Monday, April 20 at Paramount Theatre in Hollywood and was attended by many Hollywood stars as well as the two people whose story is being picked up in the movie, Nathaniel Ayers and Los Angeles Times columnist Steve Lopez.
Also seen walking down the red carpet on the occasion were most of the film's cast. They included leading men, Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr., and cast members, Catherine Keener, Kirsten Lea, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Nelsan Ellis, Justin Martin and Stephen Root. Writer Susannah Grant, music technical consultant Ben Hong and producer Russ Krasnoff were present as well.
New York City Premiere of 'Synecdoche, New York'
October 16, 2008 02:10:40Bringing the movie back to the city where the movie takes its title, the Cinema Society and Mulberry has presented the New York City premiere of "Synecdoche, New York". Held on Wednesday, October 15, the special event took place at the Loews 19th Street Theatre, New York City.
Though missing the signature red carpet, the premiere still saw the attendance of many Hollywood stars, including those starring in the movie. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Michelle Williams, Hope Davis, Catherine Keener and Tom Noonan were the members of cast ensemble who made time to join director/producer/writer Charlie Kaufman on the special evening.

Running her career quite smoothly this year, Catherine Keener has put one more starring role into her big screen resume. Variety has reported that the Oscar nominee is on her way to appear opposite Steve Coogan in a high school comedy entitled "Hamlet 2."
Story is said to focus on a teacher who tries to save his drama department by writing a sequel to William Shakespeare's "Hamlet." "Nancy Drew" helmer Andy Fleming is set to direct based on the script he wrote alongside Pam Brady, whose most recent writing work, "Hot Rod", currently is in theaters.

Dermot Mulroney helps increasing the large number of Hollywood celebrities whose marriage end in divorce court. The actor has filed for divorce from Catherine Keener, his wife of over than 16 years, following their split in May 2005.
Per the court papers, filed Friday June 8th and released Monday June 11th, Mulroney cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their son, 7-year-old Clyde Keener Mulroney, while asking for property rights to be determined by the courts.

Getting into the same vehicle Colin Firth is riding, Hope Davis and Catherine Keener have given their agreement to take part in horror mystery "Genova", which Andrew Eaton produces for Revolution Films and FilmFour.
Along with the pair's inclusion, relative newcomers Willa Holland and Perla Haney-Jardine reportedly have also been added into the cast. As for the story, the flick is said to take focus on a recently widowed man who travels to Italy with his two teenage daughters to make a fresh start in his life yet later finds out that he can't escape the ghosts of his past.

Making worthy additions to the cast, Catherine Keener and Robin Wright Penn have both landed deals to take starring part in "What Just Happened?", a comedy feature of 2929 Entertainment production.
Already had the likes of Robert De Niro, Stanley Tucci, and Kristen Stewart in the cast, pic concerns on a desperate movie producer, played by De Niro, who is trying to survive the treachery of Hollywood and a broken second marriage. Keener is plotted to be the head of the studio he is courting while Wright Penn will portray his former wife.

Catherine Keener and Vince Vaughn have both agreed to walk on "Into the Wild". The twosome has agreed to star in the upcoming action adventure flick, which Sean Penn is going to direct.
The story will portray Christopher McCandless, who graduated from college in 1992, abandoned his possessions and hitchhiked to Alaska to live in the wilderness and return to nature. He died four months later in an abandoned bus at a remote campsite.
