November 06, 2009 01:11:40It's a wrap for the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. Its winners have been announced and soon afterwards, footage of its live performances by Alicia Keys, Alejandro Sanz and Laura Pausini and this year's big winner Calle 13 hit the web.
Alicia made a collaboration with Alejandro who brought his guitar during the set. The two musicians delivered a duet track called "Looking for Paradise" which is taken from his latest studio effort "Paraiso Express".

November 06, 2009 12:11:20Calle 13 have won in every category they were nominated at the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. It means that the Hip-Hop / alternative-reggae duo, Residente and Visitante, walked home with five trophies at the November 5 ceremony.
"To all the people who make music in this moment of independent music, to hell with record labels!" Residente said when collecting Best Alternative Song prize for the band's track "No Hay Nadie Como Tu". "This is the moment for those of us who make real music."

She is named Best International Artist, beating The Veronicas, Taylor Swift, Ashley Tisdale and McFly. She also gets Song of the Year title, thanks to her hit single "Poker Face". In this category, she pushes aside Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Kings of Leon and Wisin & Yandel.
Though losing Song of the Year to Lady GaGa, Wisin & Yandel still manage to walk home with double victories, taking home Artist of the Year and Video of the Year prizes. This is the first time the Puerto Rican reggaeton win at the event. "I want to thank Mexico, Puerto Rico and all the Latinos who support our music," Wisin says. He also thanks rapper 50 Cent who is the announcer for Artist of the Year, "Also, someone who always believed in the revolution: 50 Cent."

"We are super happy," said one of the group's members Rene "Residente" Perez concerning their domination. "The Latin Grammy Awards are, for us, valid because they have to do a lot with the music, with the art."

Colombian bombshell Shakira dominated the 7th annual Latin Grammy Awards Thursday night Nov 2nd as she won a leading four trophies out of five nominations. She among other won the categories of Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year both for "La Tortura", plus Album Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Album both for "Fijación Oral, Vol. 1".
The reggaeton group Calle 13 was another multiple winner at the awards event, earned the awards for Best New Artist, Best Urban Music Album for their eponymous album, and Best Short Form Music Video for "ˇAtrévete Te, Te!". Another multiple winner included Argentine rocker Gustavo Cerati, who won the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album category for "Ahi Vamos" and Best Rock Song for "Crimen".

Colombian pop sensation Shakira leads the nomination list for the seventh annual installment of Latin Grammy Awards with six nods. The songbird is among others nominated for the categories of Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Short Form Music Video, all for "La Tortura".
