Early Winners of 42nd Country Music Association Awards
November 13, 2008 09:11:19Industry professional members of Country Music Association have made their choice and early winners from 2008 Country Music Association Awards have been announced. Rascal Flatts, George Strait, and Sugarland are some of the artists who receive the prestigious awards at the November-12 ceremony.
Starting with the announcement of the winner from "Song of the Year", Sugarland's "Stay" wins over Alan Jackson's "Good Time", Brad Paisley's "Letter to Me", Strait's "I Saw God Today", and Trace Adkins' "You're Gonna Miss This". The award from this category goes to songwriter and primary publisher, meaning that Byron Gallimore, Kristian Bush, and Jennifer Nettles as the producers of "Stay" share the prize to be brought home.
Kim Kardashian Hosts Belated 28th Birthday Bash at LAX
October 27, 2008 11:10:28Spending her actual 28th birthday on October 21 at an Alabama medical center to accompany her boyfriend Reggie Bush, who was hospitalized due to an injured knee, Kim Kardashian gets her actual birthday bash after all by hosting a party at LAX nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the party, held on Friday, October 24, she was joined by Reggie, and sisters Kourtney and Khloe. Choreographer and music video director, Robin Antin, reportedly was also in attendance.
Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Robin and some friends initially gathered in Kim's hotel room at the Luxor on Friday night for a party. They were all having fun when Reggie rang the doorbell, just half an hour before the group was to head down to the nightclub LAX, to surprise Kim. It is claimed that the NFL player has been given the green light to fly to Vegas at the last minute. "He is doing better than expected and returning to the field soon," a source told E! Online.

July 28, 2008 11:07:16When Kristian Bush left his band Billy Pilgrim few years back, it was probably the right decision to make. The Knoxville native joined two other aspiring artists, Jennifer Nettles and Kristen Hall to make one third of Sugarland, a country trio that broke through the mainstream with their single "Baby Girl" in 2004. The trio has received a Grammy nomination, plus several other notable country awards and the now-duo are vying for another with their latest release "Love on the Inside".
The new album is available in two different versions; the deluxe fan edition that hits stores on July 22 and the regular one which will be in shelves a week after that. The deluxe version contains 12 songs, along with five extra songs including the live version of "Life in a Northern Town" that they performed with Little Big Town and Jake Owen, plus a downloadable video content. Meanwhile, the regular one will include only the 12 songs.

The husband of No Doubt's singer, Gwen Stefani, will soon drop his debut solo album and a lead single called "Love Remains the Same" has been released on iTunes, yesterday (April 1).
The single is a ballad that is taken as the first single lifted from Rossdale's upcoming album titled "Wanderlust". Reports said that the album will be released later this June, allegedly on date 3. On the concept of the album, the former frontman of Bush and Institute said, "It's really kind of atmospheric and good. And I'm really excited about it."

The so-called King James, who turns 23 on December 30th, stands to make plenty more with his new four-year $60 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and endorsement deals with Nike, Coca-Cola and Upper Deck.
On the 2nd spot of the list is The New Orleans Saints' Reggie Bush. The 22 years old NFL player earned $24 million in the time period, such amount of money that put him one place ahead of tennis goddess Maria Sharapova who's at No. 3 with one million less, $23 million.

"Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" is an American quiz game show on FOX which games are played by a single contestant, who attempts to answer ten questions plus a final bonus question. Content is taken from elementary school textbooks, two from each grade level from first to fifth. Every correct answer will increase the amount of money the player banks, and a maximum cash prize of US$1,000,000 can be won.

Veteran rocker Neil Young is expressing truly what he's feeling inside in his upcoming album. The singer apparently has recorded an anti-war protest album on which he lashes out at George W Bush in a song titled "Impeach the President."
The 10-track set, called "Living with War," was recorded earlier in April and features a 100-strong choir, the Canadian-born musician announced on his Web site. As of the title track it includes lyrics such as: "On the flat-screen we kill and we're killed again. And when the night falls, I pray for peace."

Westlife Tops UK Singles Charts

Now, the Irish boy band scores another record, their 13th number one hit, with their cover version of ballad "You Raise Me Up." With the single, Westlife successfully knocks the top of the British singles charts, sets aside last week's top track "I Bet You Look Good on the Dance floor" by rock band Arctic Monkeys to No. 2.
In the third slot of the charts is Sugababes' "Push The Button," which drops one place after previously spent three weeks at the top. British singer Kate Bush, in addition, makes her return to the charts with "King of the Mountain" from her first album to be released in 12 years at No. 4. Elsewhere, Robbie Williams' "Tripping" moves from number four to number five, though his album "Intensive Care" is still the king of the album chart.
