August 05, 2009 01:08:05Who took home prizes at this year's Kerrang! Awards have been announced at a gala ceremony held in London on August 3. Out of thirteen categories, Slipknot were the only band who walked home with more than one prize.
This rock band received two kudos at the annual awards. They were named Best International Band, winning over Green Day, Metallica, Madina Lake and Lamb of God. They also got Best Live Band title, beating Metallica, Enter Shikari, The Prodigy and Gallows.
Deluxe CD from Bullet For My Valentine

While waiting for the new studio album to be completed, Bullet For My Valentine is releasing a deluxe edition of their 2006 album "The Poison".
In the specially packaged edition, the band includes 13 tracks from the original album plus another four songs that went unreleased in U.S. Not only stopping there, a DVD containing live concert footage and their music videos will also be included in the package. The release date to this deluxe edition is set on June 12.

Congratulation for Welsh band Lostprophets for they are the big winners at the 13th annual Kerrang! Awards, held August 24th in London. The music act won two awards all at once, Best Album for "Liberation Transmission" and Best British Band as well.
Muse, who nabbed five nominations, in the meantime only won one, which was for Best Live Band. For the Best International Newcomer category, the award went to Aiden while the Best British Newcomer was Bring Me The Horizon. Bullet for My Valentine's "Tears Don't Fall" was chosen as Best Single, and Placebo was the Classic Songwriter.
