2009 Prism Awards Winners in TV
April 24, 2009 02:04:03Honoring TV shows and actors for accurately portraying the issue of mental health and addiction, Prism Awards gives out the names of the recipients. Dana Delany grabs the top honor for her performance as Katherine in "Desperate Housewives" while William Shatner takes the same honor in opposite gender for his portrayal of Denny in "Boston Legal".
Also praised for their performance are Benjamin Bratt who played a recovering drug addict in A&E's "The Cleaner" and Chandra Wilson for her role as Yvonne Caldwell in Hallmark Original Movie "Accidental Friendship". Awards are given out in a ceremony which will be aired on FX Network on September 26 as part of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.

This time around, NBC's comedy series "30 Rock" has shown another domination by taking three nominations, including a nod each for its two lead actors, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey.
Also triumphing on the primetime television is the Paul Giamatti-starring miniseries "John Adams". Like "30 Rock", the show accumulates 3 nominations, the same amount that other series like "Mad Men", "The Closer" and "Boston Legal" gather. This time the network that earns most of the nomination is HBO with 9 while ABC and NBC follow behind with 8.
TV Nominees of the 20th Producers Guild Awards Announced
December 11, 2008 02:12:39On Wednesday, December 10, Producers Guild of America has revealed its list of TV nominees for the 20th Annual Producers Guild Awards. Lining-up for different categories of the coveted awards are NBC's "30 Rock" AMC's "Mad Men", Bravo's "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" and Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report".
"30 Rock" has been receiving the nod in the category of comedy series, enlisted alongside two of HBO's comedies, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Entourage", NBC's "The Office" and Showtime's "Weeds". Meanwhile, "Mad Men" is vying for the drama series trophy, contending against FX's "Damages", Showtime's "Dexter" and two of ABC's dramas "Boston Legal" and "Lost".
ABC Promo Videos for 'National Stay at Home Week'
September 19, 2008 01:09:54ABC have released two promo videos for their "National Stay at Home Week" program. Opening a whole new season for many of their TV shows, the network encourage viewers to stay at home within date 21 this month through October 1.
The marathon will be opened with the highly-anticipated 60th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 21 which will be preceded with a special episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 7:00 P.M.. On Monday, there will be the seventh season of "Dancing with the Stars" as well as the fourth season of "Boston Legal" starting from 8:00 P.M.. The next day, ABC offer a brand new reality show "Opportunity Knocks" where host JD Roth comes knocking on random American family's door and test their bond as a family through trivia questions.
Boston's First Outing Post Brad Delp's Death
March 24, 2008 11:03:13With the frontman slot being empty following the death of Brad Delp in March last year, the remaining members of rock band Boston were forced to recruit a new one. Not only did the rock act find a replacement in former Stryper vocalist Michael Sweet, they have also decided to enlarge the clan with the addition of their fan Tommy DeCarlo.
Together with Sweet and DeCarlo, the band that are now comprised of Tom Scholz, Gary Pihl, Kimberley Dahme, and Jeff Neal will embark on a U.S. tour starting on June 6 in Ontario. This would be the first outing for the band since Delp's death and dates are still being mapped out with the latest being August 15 in Atlantic City, N.J.
Lead Singer of the Band Boston Found Dead

Rest in Peace, Brad Delp. The lead singer of the band Boston was found dead Friday March 2nd in his home in southern New Hampshire. He was 55.
While the cause of his death remained under investigation by the Atkinson police and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's office, police said they responded to a call for help at 1:20 p.m. and found Delp dead.
Aerosmith Joins Boston Pops for July 4th

One of the prominent American rock bands, Aerosmith has been tapped to join the venerable and best-known city orchestra, the Boston Pops, at Boston's annual Independence Day concert held on Tuesday July 4th, 2006.
The free outdoor show is part of the 121-year-old orchestra's move to add more rock to its repertoire.
