'The Runaways' Among 2010 Sundance Non-Competition Line-Up
December 04, 2009 02:12:20On Thursday, December 3, Sundance Institute has announced movies which are included on the non-competition line-up of the 26th Sundance Film Festival. Among the list, there are "The Runaways", a biopic starring Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart, and "The Killer Inside Me" that has Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba as part of the cast. Both movies are enlisted in Premieres category.
Non-competitive categories usually focus on bigger-budget films with well-known stars and a distributor already in place. However, organizers of this year's festival have added a new section, called Next, which is dedicated to extremely low-budget movies that cost under $500,000.

"Energetic" is written by Sean Garrett and Yirayah Garcia. The dance track appears among new songs in BoA's self-titled English studio album "BoA" which has come out for purchase since March.

PBS' "Soundstage" live concert series will begin its fifth season soon and the networks has listed several names to perform. Rob Thomas, Macy Gray, Jewel Kilcher and Dashboard Confessional would be the artists whose live performances are going to be comprised in a one hour TV special.
The first show featuring Thomas' Red Rocks gig in Denver will be broadcast on June 14. Gray's Grainger Studio show in Chicago will get its turn on July 5 while Dashboard's Madison Square Garden concert is slated for July 12 airplay. Jewel in particular will get a two-hour set, which will be aired separately on July 19 and 26. The show will feature her performance at Rialto Theatre in Joliet, Ill.
