A West End musical production has utilized the works of veteran rock band . Stage act "Desperately Seeking Susan" that is adapted from 's 1985 movie will use both Blondie's classics and new materials.

Among the band's songs that are used is their #1 hit "Heart of Glass". Others will be "Atomic,'' ''One Way or Another,'' ''Dreaming'', ''The Tide Is High" as well as a new composition from frontwoman Debbie Harry titled "Moment of Truth".

In her duet with Harry, Allen will do Blondie's classic "Heart of Glass" on The Today Show's edition of May 25. The show will also boast Blondie doing their own songs which include the hit "Call Me".

Surely 2006 will be such an unforgettable year for for the band becomes one of the inductees of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with the likes of , , , and . All of them will officially take the honor in the foundation's Twenty-First Annual Induction Ceremony slated to be held on Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. In the Non-Performer category comes the name of Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss who both are the founder of A&M records which was established in 1962 and so will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The inductees of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are chosen by the foundation's nominating committee which consists of rock and roll historians. Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record.

Their hard work finally is paid off. It's worth somehow that after years of rejection, influential bands the , and are finally making it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Two thumbs up for them.

All of them will be feted at the Rock Hall's 21st annual induction ceremony to be held at New York's famed Waldorf Astoria Hotel on March 13 next year. Joining them in the Class of 2006 are jazz legend and New Wave group . Meanwhile, trumpeter Herb Alpert and business partner Jerry Moss, founders of A&M Records, will be inducted as Non-performers.
