Blink-182 Postpone More Concerts Due to DJ AM's Sudden Passing
September 02, 2009 11:09:41After canceling Saratoga gig, Blink-182 are now putting on hold at least four concerts which are part of their reunion summer tour. "After much thought and consideration, blink-182 has rescheduled their next two shows in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear friend Adam Goldstein [DJ AM]," it is announced.
The concert which was supposed to be held on September 2 at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, Ohio is moved to September 30. Meanwhile, the show which was set to take place on September 3 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis is re-scheduled for September 29 show.
Blink-182 Pull Out Saratoga Show in Honor of DJ AM
September 01, 2009 10:09:39Following their fellow musician DJ AM's sudden passing on August 28, Blink-182 decided to call off their scheduled performance in Saratoga, New York City. "Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein, Blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at SPAC," so it was announced on the band's official website.
"Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time," the statement continued. Bassist/singer Mark Hoppus also tweeted about the cancellation, "Saratoga, our sincerest apologies that we have to cancel tonight. We didn't know until late this afternoon."
Video: Blink-182 Singing 'Down' as Tribute to DJ AM
August 31, 2009 09:08:36Following DJ AM's sudden death on August 28, Blink-182 paid tribute to the late disc jokey during a live concert in Hartford, Connecticut by delivering a song called "Down" for him. "This night is really hard for us onstage," bassist Mark Hoppus told the crowd during the gig.
"We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein," Mark continued. "You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a very dear friend."
Pete Wentz and Mark Hoppus in All Time Low's 'Weightless' Video
July 07, 2009 01:07:41All Time Low snatched Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 to make cameos in their latest music video, "Weightless". The band also invited fans to participate in the video by being the crowd at the live show scene.
The video is wrapped in an interesting concept of showing someone's true intention written on the back of the head. Pete, in black hood, tweeted to Mark saying that ATL are a rip-off to FOB, but Mark answered "Both ATL and FOB rip-off Blink-182". There's also another reference to FOB in the middle of the video where a guy wearing a "Fall Out Boy" shirt is saying "I'd rather be watching FOB" in the back of his mind.
Blink-182's New Song to Be Played on Upcoming Tour
June 09, 2009 04:06:18A new song from reunited band Blink-182 is expected to be played during the band's upcoming tour this summer. The track is titled "Up All Night" and is almost done, drummer Travis Barker reveals to MTV.
"We just started practicing for the tour, going through the old sh--, playing the greatest hits - only we'd start experimenting on them a bit, working on different versions," Travis says. "So, it ended up that some of the old songs have new flavor to them, and then we also got around to making four demos, including one song that's pretty much complete."

While the band haven't shared just yet what the video is shot for, several pictures taken from its shooting location have been put forward by vocalist Mark Hoppus through his blog, Pickrset.com.
"I can't say anything about this yet, but keep your eyes open ... ," so read a message posted by Mark in companion of the photos. The band's label, Interscope Records, also declined to give any explanation about the video.
Blink-182 Confirming Reunion at 2009 Grammys
February 09, 2009 02:02:10Blink-182 are set to reunite after breaking up in 2005. Confirming the news was the band's former members themselves; Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, during the gala ceremony of the 51st annual Grammy Awards on February 8.
Taking the stage of STAPLES Center just after Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder's duet performance, Hoppus jokingly said, "Isn't it great to see the Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder back together again?" Barker then added, "We used to play music together, and we decided we're going to play music together again."
+44's Second Set Taking Shape

What started off good, Punk rock act +44 is determined to get better in the next set. While busy touring with Fall Out Boy in Honda Civic Tour, the band is in its early stages of second album.
"We'll definitely be back in the studio, probably by the end of the year," said singer/bassist Mark Hoppus. "We have some ideas. We have a couple of very rough demos that we've been working on. I know that everybody has a lot of little parts of songs, and once we get into the studio we'll be putting it all together."

Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, both are former Blink-182 co-founders, have officially announced their newly formed band +44 on Tuesday August 29th.
+44, named after the international dialing code of Great Britain, will then have their debut album "When Your Heart Stops Beating" released via Interscope Records on November 14th later this year.

"When I realized Blink wasn't going to be happening anymore, I realized I had new things that I needed to live up to," Tom DeLonge, former guitarist of Blink-182 told Billboard.com while remarked further "I had no idea I was going to make the best album of my life." And thus, DeLonge came up with a great idea, which was forming a band.
Soon as it was realized, the band called Angels & Airwaves, will on Wednesday hit the road before shortly thereafter release its debut album, self-produced "No Need to Whisper," on May 23rd later this year via Geffen Records. As of its members, the newly established band consists of David Kennedy, a bandmate from DeLonge's side project Box Car Racer, former Rocket from the Crypt drummer Atom Willard and former The Distillers bassist Ryan Sinn.

A daughter, the newly born was given the name of Alabama Louella Barker. The baby was born at 12:22 p.m. and weighed in 7 pounds, 1 ounce. The couple has had a two-year-old son together named Landon, while Shanna also has a six-year-old daughter, Atiana, with her ex-fiance, boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya.
All That Santana Does on the Album Chart

The set is reported to sell for 378,000 copies in the week ended November 6. Right behind the chart topping is Santana's "All That I Am" which becoming the second best album of the week with sales of 142,000 copies.
At No. 3 is Nickelback's "All The Right Reasons" which sold for 101,000 copies, ahead of Black Eyed Peas' "Monkey Business" at No. 4 with 86,000 and Destiny's Child's "#1's" at 5th with 85,000. Meanwhile, Blink-182's swan song "Greatest Hits" comes at No. 6 with 72,000 copies, followed behind by Martina McBride's "Timeless" at 7th which is sold for 63,000 copies.
An Indefinite Hiatus of Blink-182

The break will then, according to the official story, give guitarist/singer Tom DeLonge, 29, bassist Mark Hoppus, 32, and drummer Travis Barker, 29, chances "to spend some time enjoying the fruits of their labors with loved ones." To add, Blink-182's spokesperson said that "there is no set plan for the band to begin working together again." So for Blink fans, be patient guys ?!
